Just got the truck a month ago and the damn check engine turned on today, I took it to AutoZone and they said it has a misfire. Should I be worry, is it safe to drive, is it a hard fix?. Sorry I am not too knowledgeable on engines.

I’m looking at these 4 tires and hear good things. Anyone have any recommendations because I’m stuck between NITTO, Toyo and the falkens.

Question 3.0 sst experiences?

Currently drive a 24 Silverado LTZ and thinking about making the switch - I have owned rams and grand cherokees with the hemi in the past and had good experiences.
Curious to know what ram owners think of the 3.0 sst and the 8 speed trans.

Question HELP: My 2023 Ram 1500 Classic keeps draining its battery and randomly turning on cluster and shifter lights!

Hey everyone,

I’m experiencing ongoing electrical problems with my 2023 Ram 1500 Classic. The main issues include:

Instrument cluster, shifter dial, and radio intermittently turning on by themselves when the vehicle is parked and locked.

Persistent battery drainage, often requiring jump-starts.

I’ve already been to the dealership multiple times—5 visits just in March alone. They’ve performed a full diagnostic scan, replaced the battery, reflashed the Electronic Serial Number (ESN) module, and even replaced the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) and Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) due to a recall. Unfortunately, the problems continue.

Interestingly, I connected with another Redditor who had almost identical issues resolved only after fully replacing their SCCM.

My warranty (3 years / 50,000 km) is almost up, and I’m worried the dealership might keep giving me the runaround until it’s expired. Has anyone else faced this? If so, how was it resolved? I’m trying to figure out my next steps and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Question Ram front bumper swap help!?

So I recently bought a Ram 1500 tradesman(first vehicle purchase!) a month ago. The honeymoon phase has ended and now I really want to mod it out to my liking. I was looking into swapping my current one piece bumper into a two piece bumper. Has anyone ever done this type of bumper swap before or knows the parts I need for it? Any help is appreciated! The truck in the first pic is mine and the truck in the second pic is what I want my bumper to look like.

Question What factory features are must-haves on a 2018–2022 RAM 1500 HEMI 4x4 (non-eTorque) that are hard to add aftermarket?

Hey everyone,

I'm in the market for a 2018–2022 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI 4x4 without eTorque, and I want to make sure I get one with all the factory features that are either impossible or extremely hard to add later via aftermarket mods. My budget is $34k.

Obviously, stuff like wheels, exhausts, and even audio upgrades can be handled post-purchase. But what I’m really looking to avoid is buyer’s remorse over things like:

  • Factory tow package with proper gearing, trailer brake controller, and cooling
  • LED headlights and tail lights
  • Air suspension (if you think it’s worth it?)
  • Any 4x4 / off-road features like locking diffs or skid plates that are better to have from the factory?
  • dual-zone AC

Would love to hear from RAM owners:
What do you consider must-have factory options that would be expensive or a pain to retrofit later?

Also open to hearing any regrets or things you wish you had held out for when buying yours.

Thanks!

Question Mopar 68411230AA 6.4 crate engine questions: whats needed to complete it

Looking at maybe doing a engine replacement in a friends 2019 2500 6.4 due to cam and lifter failure and 'forbidden glitter' EVERYWHERE. The Mopar 68411230AA replacement long block looks price attractive compared to other remans available here (I'm in Western Canada).

Obviously the 68411230AA is a 'Long Block' with heads. For those of you that have used one of these engines in a swap, what else do I need to budget for to do the R&R?

My list so far is:
1) Oil Pump
2) Gaskets - Oil pan, valve covers, water pump, intake
3) Oil filter housing/cooler (I assume these will need to be replaced due to metal shaving contamination?)
4) Spark Plugs (why put used plugs in a new engine, right?)

Obviously there's items to be evaluated when the engine removal and teardown happens (water pump, etc) and replaced if necessary. I'm trying to get a list of 'HAVE to replace' vs the 'we may have to replace'.

Just Sharing Diesel additive holder with funnel

Post image

Got tired of my Hotshot's leaking all over my truck bed, and losing my funnels, so I decided to solve both problems at the same time! I've tested it going through car washes and towing my fifth wheel, and can say the holder doesn't budge and the funnel stays put! Those of you towing with fifth wheels know about the tornado effect in the bed of your truck. 3D printed using ASA plastic for durability. Just added them to my Etsy store if anyone is interested. Also have screw on versions, no funnel versions and ones for Archoil bottles.
