Light News Testing the Kill Tony Ban

After hearing Mike talk about how quickly you will get banned on the KillTony sub for even the faintest reference to RedBar I thought I'd give it a try. I left a comment echoing what Mike said about Tony censoring his own podcast voluntarily to make it more advertiser-friendly and blaming YouTube (because I thought it would be nice for just a few of Tony's braindead fans to be exposed to a different narrative instead of how Tony's spinning it.) I also said that 'someone' pointed this out and Tony deleted his comment on a post about free speech. No curse words, nothing crazy, nothing that could get you banned on any reasonable sub, I didn't even name 'Mike' or 'Redbar' directly. 5 minutes later I'm banned and the comment is deleted.

Yeap, the only whole internet is just full of a bunch of dumb fuckin pussies who are trying, desperately, to feel listened to...and desperately trying to feel in control by reporting and banning n shit.

I said f**gs on topic asking "what kind of cigarettes does Tony smoke?" And got a 100 day ban for being homophobic although I was referring to what they call smokes in England. I thought it was pretty clever. They didn't.

It was clever. In a just world, you would have been hailed as a genius... but you're livin' in a fool's paradise.

I tested it out live during the show. Banned the next morning. Mods were sleeping.

I got banned by commenting: “Ban incoming” on a Redbar post. That whole community is full of faggots.

That was my post. I also wanted to see how fast they ban you. I can't believe you got banned for that!

Tony literally blamed "the Biden Administration" for YouTube's policies. They are either completely R-ed, or liars.

Yeah, whoever wins the election writes the TOS for every website on the internet.

Right? So with Tony's logic, YouTube is gonna change their TOS on January 20th 2025 lol.

We'll be able to say all the words then, and the advertisers will be fine with it.

Free speech for me but not for thee.

u/Bobsaspinner Dec 05 '24

Yeah, freedom of speech as a general principle? Don't be silly. It's just a phrase you cynically use to defend YOUR OWN speech.

These guys are taking direct orders from their superiors in politics on how to shape and maintain their public persona and show how they are "under attack."
