DISCUSSION Are we in a golden age currently?
In terms of cars and what we're getting with them. We got animated/reactive decals and wheels, there's some nice IPs rolling in from Tomb Raider, to Ram. Then you have the that trio that has the FN tags removed (Bugatti, McLaren and Lamborghini) and the Lambo is first back in a nice if pricey bundle. Then you have returning IPs wrapped up together like in the Jager bundle.
It just seems in terms of car fashion and what's available, the future is pretty bright.
I'd still like to see more "premium" or animated/reactive stuff thats FN compatible in the rocket pass, though. It's obvious they can do it but are choosing not to. ANY of the stuff from the previous two or three rocket passes could been animated/reactive, and we only get ONE thing from the pass. Although that one decal from the tournament looks like it could port over, but tournament items always have the FN tag hidden.
Point being, they could give us free premium (animated/reactive) stuff but choose to gatekeep that stuff to bundles. Translation-corporate greed, so maybe not quite in a golden age yet.
And that not touching on bringing more cars over like the Nimbus and Tygris, or the addition of trails being usable in regular gameplay(actually huge). Slowly getting more cars, but still waiting to see about stuff like engine audio, toppers and antennas
What you all think?

We are in the opposite of a golden age currently.

Genuinely curious, what makes you say that? I understand for "racers" alot of racing and racing related things need fixing, improving and upgrading. But my thoughts were in terms of cosmetics...we've had a steady stream of things coming in, slowly but surely getting more and more of what we've been asking for

They haven’t added new maps since July of last year, they aren’t fixing major bugs, and there hasn’t really been any communication with the community.

I love the designs, but the prices are insane, 20 something euros for one car is a bit rough. But then again, just a simple skin for the Player Character is about the same so at least it's consistent (still bad though).
The McLaren price was bonkers though, and now the Lambo, €30 for a car skin is insane (have to get the RAM 1500 RHO though, I don't have a single truck skin).
If the decals were universal across all cars, it would be a much better deal, also, having a Rocket Racing pass would be awesome!

I think you're perceiving it as being focused towards you as a RRacing player, and that's okay, but it's a delusion. All you're really seeing here is Fortnite salvaging what it can from RRacing's wreckage. The car skins can sell regardless if people play RRacing or not. It's the reality they've been forced to concede to.

Yea the point of the post was definitely more towards car cosmetics as I stated in like the first line lol, and not car tracks and racing per say. I like being able to drive around and going fast, whether it's in RL, RR or FN, and tbh instead of splurging on skins and emotes, it's usually on new cars and car cosmetics

They need to meet us half way and create an in game currency you can earn to buy a few beat up models that you can then earn pristine models for or fix up. No racing game can survive if you essentially have to buy every car. As someone who also plays rocket league and has that pass, it’s not enough and if I have to spend all my time in another game while they’re transferable I can say they’re not made in mind for this.

We barely have a fire as we bash two stones together. What do you mean golden age? This ain't no Renaissance.
