Glad it wasn't any longer. I would have sat there and watched for hours.

Video loop is an option. Do you want me to send instructions how to do that?

Please dear God no! I have things to do today 😭

Video loop is a poor option.

I want to see the dumpy gey filled, go gey emptied, then fill again...

Machines are amazing. Think how long that would have taken with just shovels.

Yummy stuff. The way the machine driver goes back for the spillage and the wagon driver goes forward to enable it really got me going. Like, REALLY going. Oosh. Yummy yum yums.

There needs to be a sub dedicated to these heavy machinery POV videos. There so cool!

Ok seriously that dump truck driver was spot on. I’m guessing they’ve done things together. Lots of things.

u/MissCandid 2d ago

It was making me nervous how close they kept getting!

2

u/marbleshoot 1d ago

Yeah, I was like this is not really satisfying when I'm stressing out about whether the truck will stop in time.

These guys would make a killing if they hooked up a cam and streamed on twitch.

This would be all fun for me to watch until I realize the lazy telecom contractors in Texas only use a flat spade to tuck your fiber 3 inches down in the ditch line. Now I have to wait a month to get telephone and internet back.

So, they just eyeball the grade?

What, you wanna stand out there in the rain with the stick?

This must be a trench for child soldiers. I don't think full sized soldiers will fit in there.

Why not just leave the dirt next to the trench? Edit: damn why am I getting downvoted I was just wondering why

u/Mr_D0 2d ago

Because rain will turn the dirt to mud, and it will flow back into the trench, and obstruct the flow of water.

Because he’s not an Electrician.

Because they don’t want to?

Just seems like a lot of effort

Reddit's crazy sometimes, dude. If I had to take a guess: if you worded it more like "can anyone explain why they can't just leave the dirt beside the trench?" - I bet you would GET votes

Ablauf in Deutschland:

  • Straße gesperrt
  • Auschreibung gemacht
  • billigstes Angebot genommen (siehe Ende)
  • billigste Baufirma genommen
  • Straße wieder freigegeben
  • Eine Woche später wieder gesperrt, um Restarbeiten zu machen
  • Nachverhandeln wegen den Restarbeiten (+30% Aufschlag)

Das ganze hätte dann ein Jahr gedauert...

That would take my council 6 months to do.

u/charliesname 22h ago

I'm digging it!

1

u/magic-karma 2d ago

I was hoping to see him connect the trench to a larger something

1

u/Thedemonspawn56 2d ago

Why not make the bucket deeper

2

u/periodmoustache 2d ago
