Megathread [Discussion Thread] Weekend Megathread

Hello ladies and gents!

Welcome to the 'Weekend Thread', where people can post about what they're getting up to tonight, at the weekend, good places to go, photos of places you've been, advice on where to go, or just how your week went!

The premise is fairly simple.

​

- Please be civil

- NO POLITICS. Any political comments will be removed. This is a strictly meta thread, with discussion about people and their happenings.

- Post pictures, youtube links to music you're going to see, games you're going to watch, places you'd like to go (tripadvisor, google maps etc)

These comments will not be moderated unless it doesn't follow guideline one and two!

This post will be stickied until Sunday, allowing for discussion all weekend!

I'm watching an old movie from 1981. "Excalibur"

A young Patrick Stewart is in it, looking hardly any different.

I had to Google that to see for myself! What kind of magic is that?! Thanks I will definitely give this an add to my list.

I was contemplating rewatching paradise now all the episodes were up.

it's actually not that great a film, except for any scene with Merlin in it, the actor is brilliant.

I'm mostly watching it in order to win an argument on the internet, lol.

Sent the car into the dealer to get a service and the maps update, only to remember why I hate servicing at St/dealers

I'd tried to update the maps, but the car errored as the onboard software was too old for the update, so I specifically sent it to the dealer to get updated. guess what? They tried to update the maps before doing the software and it failed. FFS I told them that, repeatedly.

Not only that but they sent me a health check, with oil on aux belt, with X to fix the oil leak except X isn't to fix it's to diagnose it - oh and the timing belt needs done.

Yeah Now that all the software is up to date (I haven't checked yet) it's going to go back to my local independent to get leak /timing / aux belt done in one hit

They did wash and vax passenger area of the car though....
