We absolutely need cautiously optimistic flair. Nintendo direct ignited in me long forgotten feeling of believe, but at the same time i feel dim voice of doubting, because 2025 is a bit vague and team cherry can delay game again, but at the same time japanese overlords watching them, but maybe this is not deadline and team cherry arent bound that much by nintendo... That is a good sign, but something needs to happen in addition to that, some kind of follow-up, a new blog post, a new trailer, a confirmation for a future showcase... anything. After all, they know they are releasing one of the biggest and most anticipated games of the decade which means they have a marketing campaigne planned out. Until we start seing that campaigne in action, nothing is confirmed (and no, leth retweeting that post and changing his banner doesn't count as a start of a marketing campaigne)
The fact they know how anticipated their game is, is exactly why I think this time it is legit. They definitely don't want to make another awkward announcement that the game is delayed. They have chosen this date specifically and VERY carefully. I understand why people are skeptical, but I do think people should relax a bit.
As a doubter, I am quite relaxed and I think everyone should manage their emotions for their own sake until we have something concrete to latch onto. That said, I agree that it would be in their best interest to avoid another xbox 2023 situation. However, they've stated (and shown) that development comes first and if they suddenly decide that they want to delay the game again, I mean, what say do we have in it? They know and we know that they will get away with something like that as long as the final product turns out amazing. I'm honestly not sure if they are willing to abuse our trust, or how far are they willing to take it.

I don't think the situation is the same. I think the game is likely to come out by the end of 2025. But I really thought the game was going to come out back then too.
I have learned to be more doubtful. So even though this is more direct confirmation than we got back then, I have more doubt now than I did back in the day.
It could come out, it could not. I can wait and see.
That was just an offhand comment from an xbox account, this was actually featured in a direct, which means they got approval from TC to show it, which means that this is the year. (Unless another delay god forbid)
Can any doubter tell me how some intern running the Xbox twitter account is in any way comparable to being included in Nintendo's most important announcement video in 8 years?
Not gonna say it's exactly the same, but I still find it hard to trust if Team Cherry refuses to confirm it. That, to me, says they're still not confident on it and want to avoid blame if it turns out not to be true.

If you heard Leth talk about it in his interview with BlueSR it wasn't ever an official thing.
It was Microsoft PR being overzealous but I understand your skepticism totally.
