I hate this for them. When I saw the early documentaries on them, I hoped that they would continue to get the love and support they seemed to have back then. They had dreams of becoming country singers and other things. How the system can just fuck them like this is horrible. I hope they get student debt forgiveness or something.

their college gave them the option of paying 1 or 2 tuitions and getting 1 or 2 degrees. they chose 2.

when they applied for a job they had the option to apply for 1 or 2 positions, they chose 1.

only getting 1 salary is fine for them because they only need to house one body, own one car, feed one body, buy one seat on a plane, etc. their expenses are that of one person so their salary needs are that of one person.

thyre not being scammed or screwed over.

People act like there’s a fucking manual on how to handle this when the reality is nobody knows what the right policy is in this case - the fact that they got college degrees and are gainfully employed is pretty cool to me though - I don’t think the world is out to get them, I just think they got dealt a shitty hand, and modern society complicates it even more because everything works under the assumption that each human body has 1 human mind attached to it.

They literally actively talk about wanting their job to be considered 2, they have said it many times. If you're gonna talk like a know it all jerk you should probably have your facts straight, weirdo.

i didnt say they dont want to be paid 2 salaries for doing 1 job,. heck, i think everyone wants to be paid 2 salaries for 1 job. that is irrelevant to the fact that they made the decision to only do 1 job instead of 2.

they had 2 options: work 1 job for 1 salary or 2 jobs for 2 salaries, but they wanted the third, unavailable option, of 1 job 2 salaries. they made a choice to only earn 1 salary and therefore they are not being taken advantage of. they are doing what they want with their life.

just like in college they made the choice to pay for 2 tuitions when they had the choice to pay for 1.

It was probably i either work 1 job instead of 2 instead of none. Pretty bold of you to assume they didn't try for a long time to get that extra salary. You are making a ton of assumptions of people you don't even know.

they could work 2 jobs and get 2 salaries. the reason they are getting 1 salary is because they are doing 1 job.

imagine im working as a schoolteacher and i get like 50k a year to teach my 1 class. i have the same deal as all the other teachers in my district. 1 teacher, 1 salary, 1 class. one day i go to the principal and say, hey my friend is going to come in and help me teach my 1 class and we're going to earn a combined 100k. would the principal say, ah yes that fits the 50k and 1 teacher per classroom budget, see you both tomorrow. or would they say, no sorry we only have the budget for 1 salary because we only need 1 teacher to do 1 job so if you each want to do 50% of a job you can each have 25k.

now imagine me and my friend both answering a job listing. lets pretend its any generic office job. it says "multiple positions open". we both get hired for each of the 2 jobs and each sign a contract for each of the 2 salaries. then we go to work each day and sit next to each other while we do our separate work concurrently for 8 hours. its the same deal as every other employee, 1 person, 1 job, 1 salary.

they could do the second option if they want 2 salaries. they cant do the first option because no one can do the first option. its not discrimination, its just how job openings and salaries and budgets work.

You're writing an awful lot on an assumption. Go seek some professional help. Yikes.

so you have no points to dispute or debate? like no holes at all that you can poke in anything ive said? this is your THIRD reply that avoids engaging with my reasoning in any way. when one person is giving through logical explanations and the other is sidestepping everything and replying with unrelated insults, conclusions can be drawn about which person is arguing in good faith and which person isnt.

theres no assumptions in the fact that 1 job earns 1 salary and 2 jobs earn 2 salaries. if im wrong on that, tell me why.

It's wrong to debate someone clearly on some sort of mental health crisis.

if you dm me ill send you my address so you can call 911 to come save me. the least you can do is send me a reddit cares message at the absolute minimum. since you are the fist and only one to know i am in the midst of a mental health crisis and have many ways to help it would be pretty unforgivable not to step in at this point.

You have to want help. You've clearly gotten a few reddit cares messages already. You should probably reach out to someone.
