Abundant shallows of the future became a perfect environment for waders. And flamingos, who previously only fed in brine pools and freshwater, have adapted to seas as well. While some are still filther feeders, there is one very peculiar outlier. Raketooths ( raketeeth?), or rhinoceros flamingos, eat animals that are hidden in mud. For this purpose, they have broader beaks and slits to filther out mud, which create an illusion of their beaks being toothed. During low tides they wander in big flocks along with other shorebirds. But while during high tide all shorebirds leave, raketooths remain. With tide their head would be fully submerged, so as measure to don't suffocate, their nostrils have extended into long, horn-like snorkels. Almost all raketooths are waders, but there is one derived species with diffrent lifestyle. Auk raketooth is a diver native to South American inland sea. It feeds on greater depth than other rhinoceros flamingos, but otherwise, it's feeding habits are same. All raketooths are capable of flight, though auk raketooth is very bad at it.
