The Shallow Seabed of the Northern Side of the Lepidoterra is Shallow water, full of Seagrasses & also Seablooms, one Seabloom that covered the most is the Sea Starflower (Oceanoflora maritima) which are very colorful Falseweeds that covers the major part of this shallow place. Sea Bees will pollinate & pollinate but it’s also a perfect place to hide which one neotenous Tadpole become.
The Spotted Gardpole (Polugyrinus macularis) is a small descendant of the Megapoles, now neotenous & never metamorphosed. These act like Garden Eels in which live on a small burrow which will hide the surrounding incase of predators. Their main food source is small fish & plankton.
Crustaceans are dominant here but some insects manage to adapt in these habitats. One specie of Insect descend from Damselflies which the nymph became neotenous & now adapted to the waters. Meet the Brownback Damselshrimp (Marenympha parvadeinus) which was a bit misleading since it’s not a Shrimp. These insects had longer antennae to detect waters very frequently with a paddle shaped back legs which are used for swimming to escape from threats, it breathes through its tail with gills & expel salts through the under sides of the salt glands on its abdomen. They hunt mainly on tiny fish using its clinging jaw. The main threats are larger fish which the Damselshrimo hates.
