This is the worst living room setup I have ever seen.

Something one would design in The Sims

WTF is up with that speaker setup? Do they sit on the coffee table?

The wall to the right is screaming, I'M RIGHT HERE!

I wonder why no one can hear it

Is that the center channel on the left sideboard?

I was hoping I'd see this here!

It’s perhaps the line from the series I quote the most!

Overkill? Maybe. Over the recommended hight? Definitely.

I think the real question is why do you hate yourself so much?

5

u/pattypph1 17h ago

Yes. And your tv is too high

Is this an intervention?

If only there was a free wall to put the tv on

Not to be dramatic but it’s atrocious

You made baby Jesus cry. I’ve seen bad. I’ve seen cluttered. I’ve seen too high. Too small. But you managed to do it all in one pic. Time to start over.

The speakers are not supposed to direct sound to the center of the room.

u/OddMove8776 13h ago

It needs more speakers

Ahhh, remember being 19 with a first paycheck and some hand me down furniture?

If you have to ask you know the answer. Plus what are people in those chairs going to do? I say decide if you want a sitting room or a home theater, this is a clash of both.

The way a sideways setup would look infinitely better but they go with the fire place is giving me second hand embarrassment

is this just fantasy?

No escape from reality

How do you even comfortably enjoy watching anything in there? Couch is too small, TV is too high, speakers are too obvious/not cohesive with the room. You can be an audiophile without it looking ridiculous.

u/Fuzzy-Mood-9139 14h ago

Utter crap

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

I don't understand why OOP has chosen a formal sitting room set up for their TV room . The tiny couch. The formal chairs. The layout is for a conversation room, not a TV room.

Having said that, it could also support a big couch on the window wall and big TV on the opposite wall and be a cozy family room. I feel like two separate personalities designed this room, and neither of them are aware that the other one exists.

Is that a rhetorical question?
