I was a prosecutor for a few years and had a defendant who got arrested on gun charges because he shot himself in one of his nuts. Standard sentence for unlawful possession of a handgun in my state is 5 years with 42 months parole ineligibility. So not only did he lose a nut, he wound up going to state prison for 5 years for it. Play stupid games, as they say.

Exactly. I kept wincing waiting for the shot. Imagine not only pulling a gun out of your waistband in the middle of street but then pointing it at yourself and other people with your finger on the trigger the whole time. Good lord man
