u/haverchuck22 1d ago
lol sorry, was a joke. The micro paintings are legitimately impressive.

u/Aggressive_Secret290 1d ago
You think thatβs impressive, my friend have you heard about LSD?

u/WayneKrane 1d ago
LSD was the most interesting drug I have experienced. Makes things I never found interesting absolutely fascinating. I watched an entire documentary on ball room dancing and I have ZERO knowledge or interest in ball room dancing. But on LSD it was thrilling

Thank you! And I was just joking too! π€ I loved your comment! Like with the friend, why friend shaped π₯Ή

u/funkopolis 1d ago
But... have you seen colours on acid?

u/haverchuck22 1d ago
Iβm sad thereβs no gif available of Jon Stewart βever seen the back of a $20 dollar bill ON WEED?!β From half baked

u/domiboshoi 1d ago
I can't remember this scene, sounds fun. It's been years since I've seen that movie!

u/akiroraiden 1d ago
that's acid tabs all day, are you trying to lie about it and tell your parents who found them that they're not?
6
u/domiboshoi 1d ago
I usually tell people that it's just watercolour art. Even though it's true, somehow, everybody wants to lick them...

u/ihaveam0ustache 1d ago
What are these, paintings for ants?
14
u/domiboshoi 1d ago
Literally, yes. They took one.

u/Centrimonium 1d ago
Oh fuck I love this video so much, I can just see this lil guy coming home to the wife and kids and hanging it on his lil ant wall!!

u/domiboshoi 1d ago
So happy I could make you smile with this vid! We're all just hoping here the Queen approved of this guy's choice of art. At least it's a proper living room size.

Although I enjoy 2D art more, I think I might give 3D a go! Looks so cool, what a world!

Now I want to see you use some tiny power tools to make some puny little frames for them!
3
u/marrangutang 1d ago
Ahaha the price of frames I really want to takes these into a framers and ask for a price
Fantastic work OP I zoomed in for a proper look
2
u/domiboshoi 1d ago
Thank you so much! Haha! Now I also wonder... what a professional framer would take for framing these π€

What kind of brush do you use for these to get the details done? A single human hair glued to a toothpick?
1
u/domiboshoi 1d ago
Actually a nose hair, they're finer. . . . jk! Actually my brushes are surprisingly big for these tiny projects. I also don't use magnifying glasses. Here's a link of me painting one of my minis. Not the smallest one but it's super hard filming the micro art while painting. I used this old brush and recently got myself an upgrade to the new brush which just makes such a difference.
2
u/Tori_Green 1d ago
The video of you painting is fascinating. It's amazing what you can do with such a big brush on such a tiny canvas.
I can't wait for all the tiny art you will make with the new brush!

u/leokz145 1d ago
How long do they usually take to make?
1
u/domiboshoi 1d ago
It depends on many factors. Can be even as quick as a few minutes, up to a few hours.

u/GrimJudas 1d ago
3 for $5? Iβll take $20 worth!
1
u/domiboshoi 1d ago
They're extra special, good batch, this will be a little bit more expensive, but totally worth it π
2
u/ProbablyCarl 1d ago
Your finger and that euro must be massive.
2
u/domiboshoi 17h ago
Haha π They just look so gigantic on these macro photos, Myself, my euro coin and my art are actually pretty tiny π But that'd be fun to put the micro art next to a super large coin.

u/housevil 19h ago
You should design and submit paintings for postage stamps. You already have a great notion for what works and is recognizable at small scale.
1
u/domiboshoi 16h ago
Thank you so much! That's a great idea! I'll need to check out the possibilities π€

u/domiboshoi 1d ago
I thought it'd be ok to drop this here, if not, please do tell me. You can get sets of miniatures in 1:1 scale, great for dollhouse enthusiasts, in my print shop and originals at Etsy. I also enjoy doing custom works.

Do they come already dosed or is the LSD sold separately?
