(I have indeed asked this on a few other subs so sorry if you saw this before, but I really want an answer.) So the numbers came in for the best selling comics of last week and I'm a little confused about what they are saying. What exactly do they mean by "missed top 10 due to low retail orders but showed strong potential to lead sales?" And "if retailers have ordered more of all new venom 5 that might have also topped the chart." I'm confused because Isn't that the case for literally everything sales wise? Is this implying that retailers failed to meet customer orders? Because if that's not the case then to me this is just saying "it could have done better if more people bought it." I'm a little confused and Iv been trying to understand the comic book market lately and was hoping if I could get some knowledge off of you guys, am I reading this wrong or was it just worded wrongly? Also what do they mean by it missed top 10 when it's clearly in at number 7? I know that the comic has been selling fine and I’m not bashing it. but I’m just wondering why they are wording it this way (Mods I apologize if this kinda post isn't allowed, feel free to take it down. Awesome opening day at the mega comics forbidden planet take over in Camden London! Managed to get the latest issue signed by Al Ewing, writer of the series!

I was a big fan of the Flash Venom series and I’m curious where he has been prominent since then. I was away from comics for a while.

I’m deffo against it being “you know who” I think they can make Venom look a little more unique I.e feminine build perhaps ? It’s pretty good so far, although the direction of The Klyntar is One to keep an eye on!

I feel like those opposed are gonna switch up their opinion on VenoMJ real quick

i should note that the ultimate line is more about doing a return to form and giving fans what they want and the absolute line is about removing some essential to the hero and forcing them to evolve in order compensate taking them in a wildly new direction.

Been thinking a lot about how Paul could be controlling MJ with sigil magic and how venom could help bring it to light. MJ's been acting different towards Paul since bonding with venom and now its been revealed she kept venom a secret from him. Then I remembered these images from ANV 5 and 4 respectively. Paul looks like he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, even though he didn't know about venom. when asked about knowing someone's whereabouts why does his first thought go to psychic link?

According to Ewing, one of the points to be addressed in the future of All New Venom will be the complicated relationship between Mary Jane and Venom, which can be expected to improve and could lead to a better symbiosis.

If this is the case and something like the Sliver/Widow storyline happens, what do you think MjVenom's design should be like? Or do you think the current design is better?

Pretty much as the title asks. I was spoiled on the new identity of Venom by social media, which really sucks in principle, but I find said character very interesting and want to read the All-New Venom series so far. But I'm a little thrown off, because there's a child there(?) and also references to Mac Gargan, whose name I don't recognize at all, let alone as a venom host.

I don't want to just look up wiki pages and then start from ANV because that feels like depriving myself a little bit, but I also don't have a ton of reading time in my life and don't want to read through entire comic lines just to find the plot.

Do y'all have recommendations for specific issues/miniseries(s) I can read to quickly understand the context of who Mac Gargan was and who Dylan Brock is before I start reading All New Venom?

Any Theories? i for now believe that she and venom were put in the same situation as eddie and carnage, seeing that the #5 issue reflected the part that if they don't rest or eat they will collapse since venom lost mass fighting modok, if anything she and venom are back to when Eddie couldn't stay away from the symbiote for too long or he would die.
