A4 cut gloves for pipefitters and welders

Post image

Does anyone have experience with a good cut resistant glove for pipefitters and welders that don’t suck? We used to use the normal leather work gloves (left) but our companies policy has changed. They now require A4 cut gloves (center and right). The gloves on the right are super thick and hard to work in. They also suck in hot environments. The middle pair aren’t bad but obviously can’t grab hot material or weld in them. I’m trying to find a better option for our guys. Any input helps, thanks.

Mechanix Durahide 360 Cut are by far my favorite for heavy work. I'm an industrial mechanic but have used them while welding before, held up well. They break in nicely and aren't too hot

Try and find a local safety supply shop or reach out to one of the larger safety distribution companies /MFG like Magid, superior glove(they have lots of gloves including hybrid gloves like this), Wells Lamont , Ansell they will often send send samples free or sell you a sample box or even a rep to help you try out different gloves to find one that works.

...I'm a DIY person and I use mostly Milwaukee gloves (they have a larger range online then in most HD stores) but I also have a leather pair from

They all suck. I always get the somewhat disposable ones like in the middle. Costco 20 pack for $10.
