I recently had a foster kitten who stopped grooming himself because he was sick. We went to the vet and got medicine and now he feels better. Seeing him groom himself now makes me incredibly happy because I know he’s feeling healthy. So yes! I get a kick out of seeing a cat groom himself. That’s a guy who knows he’s safe and loved!

OK I'll say it. The 'pearls' around the neck I assume are not worn all the time? These are potentially dangerous, as they are loose the cat could strangle itself in a panic if they get caught up. Preferably cats should never wear collars and while I get the aesthetics for the post. You should remove them.

When my cat does, I sing the tiny toe song. It's a song I made up about cat toe beans. It's utterly ridiculous, but we value it.

Haha my husband called them chicken feet and I thought it was so… accurate? And hilarious. So it never dropped. I conclude we are all weird together 🙃

I cheer mine on to disrupt his chain of one thought. He freezes and stares at me, sometimes with his foot still in his mouth. Just thinking about it makes me wish I was home right now.

YES. Watching Murphy spread his toes apart is so funny. He licks, then bites those toenails and pulls hard. I guess he just likes biting his nails. I like watching my cats do everything, not just sleep. Lol.

It’s the best part of the whole bath! I especially love it when they get onto doing their nails- you know the move like they hook a tooth behind it and scrape! Disgusting yet wholesome to watch!

My late tuxedo had a little black spot on his nose like yours when he was young. I told him it looked like he had a black booger. As he got older, all the pink gradually turned black. And he groomed his toes all the time like this, which made me smile. I miss him.

Oh, that’s very sweet! I learned that that black spot is called a “snip” the same term they give for horses that have marks on their nose.
