Rise up god damn it, shoot your officer. Don’t walk to your own death like cowards, fight for your life. As soon as you get those guns turn them on your superiors trying to send you to the meat grinder. What the fuck is this.

It worked in 1917.
29
u/civil_misanthrope Jan 25 '25
Yes and no. They toppled the czar, sure, but in the process they got a new government which was even worse.

Lord of War quote:
Yuri Orlov: [Narrating] Every faction in Africa calls themselves by these noble names - Liberation this, Patriotic that, Democratic Republic of something-or-other... I guess they can't own up to what they usually are: the Federation of Worse Oppressors Than the Last Bunch of Oppressors. Often, the most barbaric atrocities occur when both combatants proclaim themselves Freedom Fighters.

Well, the Soviet government was able to industrialize Russia just in time to enable it to fight the Nazis, which probably wouldn't have happened under a Tzarist government. But then again, Lend-Lease really did a lot of heavy lifting during the war that the Soviet government couldn't do.

They won't. Never have. It is a nation of slaves, dominated by slave masters.
Russia will remain this way until Russia meets the same fate as Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

Dude literally says in teh video they are giving guns to cripples right now before assault.
46

Simply said, they don't have the brain capability to think that way. Because their hole live, they were at this slavery system. They adapted and can't raise up because they can't think this way.

see how no one is allowed rifles right up until they go out to the front? Yeah they do that on purpose to stop these guys from turning on the leaders. They know they would be shot first night if all those guys had guns and were being forced to go to die as wounded meat for drone bait.
654
u/Aggravating_Dog8043 Jan 24 '25
They really don't want any witnesses left, do they.
376
u/Alaric_-_ Jan 24 '25
They also don't want to pay for the crippled veterans pensions. Not that the amount would be enough to feed them but it's far better to use that money to fund some new yachts for the rich oligarkhs! Who knows, if they kill enough of them, some general might even afford a new dacha in the oil polluted Black Sea coast!
Wow, such a great country!

That too. There's definately a push to annihilate the troops taking part in executions and who could therefore testify in court if captured. They are the ones who can point the finger on the commanders and it's simply safer for commanders to just to send the soldiers to meatgrinder to silence them.
8
u/Bells_Theorem Jan 25 '25
Authoritarian efficiency. When your nation's leader decides the constitution and laws don't apply to them, look forward to being used as meat.

u/PitifulEar3303 Jan 24 '25
They just don't want to pay the promised "reward". Dead men can't demand for bonuses.
and most Russians are ok with this, because they don't want their taxes going to them either.
A society of deplorables.
18
u/Ketadine Jan 24 '25
They can't. See the "rewards" for the soldiers family. Sacks of potatoes are the best thing they'll get.

6
u/ijx8 Jan 25 '25
You're thinking far too higher level. None of the people in this video or 5 ranks above them are bean counters or have any say or concern about budgetary or financial shit.
It is as simple as this: You are a commander, you have x men on paper. Your order is to attack. It does not matter whether or not you are successful, it does not matter whether or not your men on paper are in a fighting condition. It only matters the order you were given is carried out. If you fail to carry out your order, you will be punished.
So the commander, knowing his men cannot walk, cannot fight. Carries out the order lest he is punished. That is how simple it is.

u/ZDMaestro0586 Jan 24 '25
Find it hard to believe they are this desperate. Understand that it’s war and historically..”canonically” the soviets are seen as meat grinder proponents. But this makes no sense unless purely bait to soak up drone/artillery/chokepoint locations. In that case, this is what it is..
99
u/ansible Jan 24 '25
It is one thing to be on the defensive, after your homeland has been invaded, to use still injured soldiers on defense.
But to send them on an assault, in a foreign country, for no great threat to your own homeland's security? That is 100% batshit insane.
46
u/ffdfawtreteraffds Jan 24 '25
Well, the person behind this is 100% batshit insane so no real surprise then. It's impossible for sane, civilized people to understand. These poor slobs had the bad fortune of being born there, and this is their destiny.
22
u/Airy_mtn Jan 24 '25
Each one of those crips will cost Ukraine $500 and man hours to take out. It's a war of attrition at this point.
12
u/LoopyLepus Jan 24 '25
This still makes no sense. Russia spent $1000s evac'ing, treating, and now re-arming them. If they wait another 8-12 weeks to heal more, they will make much more useful meat.
As it is now, these guys are mostly a threat to themselves and Russia morale. Ukraine is lucky they are so stupid.
16
u/PhospheneViolet Jan 24 '25
It's pure evil, but it's also largely dictated by economics. Injured soldiers are just taking up space by being alive in society, they aren't able to work and thus don't contribute to GDP growth, but the actual economy is in a non-stop death spiral due to the war and general mass corruption due to it being a mafiya petro-state, so the country is in a war production economy, but the soldiers can't contribute to that due to injuries...
...Said injuries that require state pensions to deal with, in an over-heated medical industry wracked with too many patients and not enough workers due to brain drain and gulags...
So what do you do with them? You just recycle them straight into the meat grinder, and list most or all of them as MIA so the families don't get any payments. Not that those payments wouldn't get pilfered anyway. Best case they soak up artillery and drone munitions.
I mean we've seen them send guys out there without any weapons, they're literally just sending them straight to death. The fully-welded makeshift IFVs that are exclusively one-way trip so they run over a land mine or get taken out from a few dozen kilometers away by an ATGM round. That's how desperate Putler is right now when it comes to economics. Circling the drain financially but still willing to simultaneously ethnically-cleansing his own dwindling population of undesirables.
You'd only ever do this if you were clinically insane, because he thinks he can still somehow make a strategic victory and gain something out of it.
→ More replies (5)30
u/Pavotine Jan 24 '25
It's batshit insane to normal thinking people. It is not batshit insane to the Russian command who send these poor saps into the grinder to get shot at, thereby revealing Ukrainian positions, and then to send in better equipped troops after them and with proper support, or at least as much support as the Russian pigs can gather at this time.
The lack of basic respect for human life is absolutely reminiscent, near identical, to that of the most hideous times of the past.
History repeats and only some improve upon it. The Russians use what works and it's a real bonus in their eyes that the less useful in society actually do get some use in this way and then die.
It's absolutely sick to its core.
5
u/Ok_Dust_8620 Jan 24 '25
IMO, the logic of their commanders is quite simple - look, these guys here voluntarily, they've all signed contracts (I bet nobody actually read them), they all paid an enormous amount of money daily (by russian standards), so we have every right to demand that they do the job.

u/LogJamminWithTheBros Jan 24 '25
Russia is running into a manpower issue without recruiting from the cities. They are scraping from the bottom of the barrel before doing so as opinion on the war will go sour if 18 year old vladislov Vladimir from Moscow burns to death in a field screaming while being filmed by a fpv drone.
Russia is calling up more reserves and will send them in after a few months. And they will die.

But this makes no sense unless purely bait to soak up drone/artillery/chokepoint locations. In that case, this is what it is..
This is precisely what it is. Soak up the enemies resources, and at the same time force them to reveal their positions by opening fire on them.
It's essentially a demented perversion of recon by fire.
11
u/iskosalminen Jan 24 '25
It's not only that. The leaders on the ground, or basically at every level, have been lying about their successes, casualties, and troop levels. They're then given instructions to do certain amount of military actions based on those falsified reports.
When you have said you've done better than you have and that you have more men and less injured that you actually have, to fill out those demanded military actions (attacks) you have to fill in the holes with something. And in this case it's wounded men with crutches.
It's like back in the day when you had flower for 2 breads but needed 5. You would use saw dust, tree bark, anything as a filler to still deliver those 5 breads. These men are the required filler to make it look like everything is going smoothly.
If you look around, this is how everything works in Russia.
7
u/dokratomwarcraftrph Jan 24 '25
Yeah the only way this makes sense tactically is if they are using the wounded soldiers as bait/free targets to uncover ukrainian positions.

Just look at the videos of the Russians during the POW swaps, on the busses. All of them have the most defeated, thousand-yard stares you'll ever see, utterly bereft of any hope or desire to persist in existing. They're all fully-aware of how them being either immediately re-rotated to the frontline, or horrifically tortured and marginalized so as to be publicly lambasted for the crime of 'cowardice' and failure to the Motherland.
291
u/Cease-the-means Jan 24 '25
And yet... They will still trudge obediently in a straight line towards what they know is their death..
120
u/pwrz Jan 24 '25

34
89
u/Fufflin Jan 24 '25
It's broken human. They have gun (loaded if lucky) in hand, they have advantage in numbers and yet they'll rather 100% die in ditch somewhere in Ukraine than eliminate that creature that is sending them and try to defect/run away/surrender with at least some chance of survival.
36
u/i0datamonster Jan 24 '25
It doesn't make sense until you look into Russian history. Which can be summarized as 'and then it got worse'.
13
u/maleia Jan 24 '25
The looks on every single one of those faces says "I wish I could trust the Ukrainians if I surrendered, and not whatever deluge of propaganda that I've been forced to consume".
They know they want to surrender, but they aren't going to risk their group turning on them even in their last moments. :/

u/Hpulley4 Jan 24 '25
You fear more your comrades behind you than the enemies in front of you so onward you trudge…
16
u/superanonguy321 Jan 24 '25
They do that or they turn around and get shot and their families get nothing because you're a traitor. Going to battle and dying on purpose would be better.
But you may as well try and live.
Thats the thought process.

That's how they won ww2. Only way to break Russians is to make them starve; that's how they lost ww1. Otherwise, they'll just say "it's what it is" and march to their deaths obediently. They'll protest verbally like in this video, but they'll obey commands nonetheless.
97
u/KOMarcus Jan 24 '25
It's been obvious for a while that one thing the russians absolutely do not want, is the public seeing wounded or crippled soldiers. This only has negative consequences for them. Not only do they elicit sympathy and draw negative attention to the war but they cost more money to care for than dead men. It's better for the russian government if they simply die. In other words, these soldiers are not meant or wanted to survive.
19
u/charlesripe Jan 24 '25
And when they are dead they don’t claim their payments anymore
4
u/dokratomwarcraftrph Jan 24 '25
I thought ideally the kremlin was giving death payments out to families with soldiers that are killed in action. Though knowing RU government culture, I am sure the government tries to renege on these paymemts or leave the KIA as missing so they do not need to do the payout. Even if they do compensate the deceased soldiers family, a one time death fee is probably cheaper for the RU gov then long term disability care for veterans.

44
u/calmrelax Jan 24 '25
The "Revolution" part is a communist myth.
Nicolas II abdicated the throne in March. The communist coup was in November (October in Old Style).
They didn't fight against a monarchy. It was a betrayal and coup against their peers from the Provisional Government. An usurpation of power by a single political party.

You're right! As the result Germany got the Brest-Litovsk separate peace treaty signed by Soviet Russia.
Which means Russia betrayed the allies, lost the war, lost a huge and the most developed territory, and over a third of its population.

The entire "Revolution" is a Communist myth. The entire monarchy had abdicated by the time Lenin came in and basically turned his guns on his own people. By that point, his power was already established.

u/AulisG Jan 24 '25
I hear you and couldn't agree more. But we are looking at a Ruzzian mentality; they love suffering. Absolutely love it. I can't reason this behavior to my brain in any other way. The more pain, the better. If life is too easy, it's not life. It's suppose to be shit, all pain and misery. "Look what hell I've gone through, I'm better than you, I have suffered my whole life". It could explain why they hate "the west" so much and especially all the countries that have made it out of that russkimirmiserymentality.

4
u/angrygnome18d Jan 24 '25
Also cheaper than properly caring for them back home. I recall the video of the crippled Russian dude who got thrown out of a bus for causing a ruckus.

I saw the video of those Russians murdering surrendered/captured Ukrainian troops the other day and instantly felt that feeling of “Fuck Russia and everybody that comes from there”. Then I saw videos shortly after of multiple Russian troops getting bodied by FPV drones and was like “Fuck those motherfuckers, you deserve everything you get!”.
Seeing shit like this though, it just blows my mind. You have a commander sending your supposed “buddies” who are clearly injured and in crutches for fucks sake being told to grab weapons and get ready to fight?! How in the FUCK do you not turn on your commander?! My only hope for Russia is to have another mobilization again and have the people revolt against Putin. Just crazy to me seeing these troops mindlessly accept their fate when already injured. All war is fucked, but this war is INCREDIBLY senseless.

u/Organic_South8865 Jan 24 '25
This is cheaper than having to give them any medical care or send them back home.
This is why there's so many videos of Russians shooting themselves the moment they're injured by a drone. They know they will get patched up and sent out as range bait. So why not just cut out the whole middle part and end it now?
The older guy saying they pulled his weapons due to mental issues yet they just ignore that and hand him a weapon.....it's so ridiculous.

When I had a broken leg, it was fixed from toes up to my ass. I was using "german" crutches. It is know like that in my country. The type you see in the video. I was sooo happy when I could rest my weight on my armpits during walking.
The other type is known in my country as "french" crutches. Never used them but probably the german type is better.

4

u/MountainGazelle6234 Jan 24 '25
A crippled civilian "mercenary" is still a merc.

A lot of complaint about them going into action.
But somehow they fail to mention the plot:
They've got to keep going untill they die.
As long as they avoid to realize that fact... They won't get to the question
"why do you put up with it?"
and/or
"Why don't you fight the people that inflict this upon you instead of taking the fight to the people of Ukraine"

You can guarantee only a low ranking officer would be there giving orders,if he was shot all these guys would be too, higher ranking officers need to shot but bet none of these type of troops would get near them.

If they're being sent into battle with no intention of surviving, why waste fit troops.
They are just getting rid of expendable liabilities.

I'd like to think that at this point, some would just open fire on any officers nearby. If they're going to send you to die for nothing, take them along for the ride.

But are they gaining ground in Donbas? No Russian is going to ask 30 years from now how they got those 10 Villages and with what sacrifices. That is the Russian mentality. It's unhumane and scarry.

That’s basically the same methods of WWII. The number of soviets that died in WWII compared to others it’s not a coincidence.
They are sent into a meat grinder. And complaining about it gives first class to front rows.
Everyone is delusional when signing for war but these guys are taken to another level.

I simply don't understand how the Russian soldiers haven't adopted 'fraging' as a means of improving their conditions.

Does the camera man not know that it could eventually be them being thrown back to the line on crutches? I guess I know why they choose suicide now... Not because of the Ukrainians but because their wounded asses might be thrown back in. I hope done of the civilians have seen videos like this by now so they can see what is happening to their vova

"Assault on crutches" seems like a title for a bad comedy movie.

Russian society would collapse having to facilitate too many ptsd and disillusioned veterans. Better leave them to die it seems.
