OTHER Do we like baskets here?

Post image

I mended this free basket with some nice wool yarn. Now it can hide the multitude of Legos invading my home post Christmas!

Awesome! I have one I need to fix and I am worried for some reason I'll mess it up.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Edit to clean up extra letters.

I found a small crochet hook to be very helpful! Good luck!

Same! I have a few of those around. Guess I'll need to jump into it tonight!

Love it. If for some reason it needs more reinforcement, you can do the same thing with thin (bare or silicone-sheathed) copper wire.

This is especially wonderful because I remember reading that baskets cannot be machine made. You're repairing someone else's handiwork!

The weaving is unique on baskets and worth repairing. They are beautiful handwork. But some can be sewn, if your machine can handle it. This one was sewn like a jelly roll with zigzag, and Mexican rope.

The basket I keep my crochet supplies in has a broken handle which I fixed with glue.. I'm now wondering how the HELL I didn't think to do this. Genius. Looks awesome. If my glue ever comes off I'll repair mine like this too.

The Lego invasion 🤣 Good solutions for both the basket and Legos.
