EMBROIDERY My first visible repair, first time embroidery

I’m not finished with it (taking a break with the flu 😪). It’s not amazing but I’m pretty proud!

Thank you! The butterfly is a stencil. There’s no way I could have done that freehand.

Joann Fabrics, in the US. I didn’t have any supplies so buying a kit got me the floss, needle and hoop. I’m freehanding the flowers but even with the stencil the butterfly is giving me a little trouble.

I just watched several videos on YouTube to learn how to do different stitches. I placed a flower over each hole and looked up how to make “easy flowers” and “easy bees”. I also bought a Kit with a hoop that had the butterfly in it, cut the butterfly out and essentially embroidered that stencil right on to the shirt. So under the floss of the butterfly is the white cloth stencil.
