REQUEST How should i fix this?

Post image

I was directed here from the quilting sub reddit and they said yall should be able to help me out. So I busted up the edge of a quilt I just bought and was wondering how i should go about fixing this. Ive never fixed clothes or anything before so any help would be appreciated!

With a needle and thread (and some pins can help if you have them) do your best to tuck the frayed edge inside, then stitch it down. Might be helpful to check some YouTube videos for details on stitching but you don’t need anything fancy

If you wanted to reinforce the edge or make it decorative/visible, you could hand sew at patch of fabric that wraps around the front and back of the quilt. You would choose the color and fabric texture based on how visible you’d want it to be. It would only need to be big enough to cover the part of the fabric that seems weak.

After doing some research it seems this is the path im gonna take. I like the quilt and dont mind patches. Thank you!!
