MIXED METHODS Patched my knees!
Or one of them anyways! I'll be working on the other soon but I'm proud of this one so far. I didn't take a before, but it was just smaller than the white rectangle.
Found jeans that fit perfect on sale, but they had huge holes in the knees and I'm not really a fan of that look. I used fusible webbing (wonder-under) to attach a rectangle patch to both the inside and outside of the hole, then machine stitched it on for added stability. Made the patch using my machine and some fabric from a fat quarter bundle! I attached it with more fusible webbing, and I plan to Hand stitch some reinforced edges because it's so difficult to get my machine in there.

MIXED METHODS I thought you guys might appreciate my pants
These are my favorite pants. I’ve had them since I was about 15 and I’m now 28. We’ve been through a lot together. Most of the mending is necessary either as a patch to a hole or to reinforce weak areas that are near tearing. I’ve never had a pair of pants fit so well for so long and I don’t plan on getting rid of them any time soon!

MIXED METHODS Pads ripped off my headphones so I fixed them
Instead of buying replacement pads, I fixed them with some cheap colour change yarn I had in my stash before reattaching and pritt sticked some scrap fabric over the speaker holes to replace the old covers that were looking pretty manky after 3 years of use

MIXED METHODS Favorite shorts too tight? Expand them with racing stripes!
Did this awhile ago after noticing the pandemic lockdown had made my shorts too small for some reason >_>
All stitching done by hand!

MIXED METHODS Fixing bro-in-laws pants
Just became aware of this sub and was inspired by the cool stuff I saw. Fixed a few of my kid's pants, and when my bro-in-law saw them, he brought over a favorite pair of pants that had seen better days. I have no clue what I am doing but it's addicting. 😁

MIXED METHODS Everywhere there is now a pigeon there once a moth-hole
The pigeons are needle-felted. For the holes that were larger than one or two knitted loops I used extra strong thread to sew them shut before starting the felting process

MIXED METHODS Project Pants
I started mending pants a year ago because I had more pairs with giant holes in them than ones I could wear out of the house. It’s been a fun creative outlet for me. These ones I’ve had to come back to a bunch of times because the denim is really soft and broken in and new holes pop up all the time. Never give up, never surrender.

MIXED METHODS New hoodie cuffs
This hoodie is at least a dozen years old and is absolutely my favorite. The cuffs had lost their elasticity and the edges were shredded. I took the cuffs from some cute socks that had gotten holes in the heels and Frankensteined them in place of the old cuffs. Now this hoodie is even cuter, and when I shove my sleeves up my arms they stay again! They're also wonderfully extra long and comfy because no drafts get in.

MIXED METHODS I mended a pair of jeans for my niece.
She bought a pair of jeans with tears in them but decided they had too many and too much of her legs were exposed and they were uncomfortable to wear.

MIXED METHODS Finally finished visibly mending my husband's jeans. He had blown out both pockets and the knee.
He chose the Pokemon fabric. I did try and dissuade him. The snake and it's above pocket we're done in sashiko patterns courtesy of Soccoro society on Etsy.
