Turns out all you need to do to get people to believe that you're the party that's good for the economy is say it over and over for 40 years.

Polls show that people consistently trust Republicans more with the economy.

Yep, and set up Fox News to pretend it's fair and balanced.

My father used to explain this by saying "all of the other news sources are so incredibly biased against conservatives that fox has to be more biased than anyone else to balance the entire field"

He has thankfully since come to his senses.

Yeah, that's just such a wild stance. But glad he's past it. Mine recently stopped voting Republican too.

Hopefully more can as well.

Repetition is one of the best ways to learn. Pounding people with the same message through all forms of media will have many believing it, no matter what the reality is.
