Its a dump and pump. Pump when he pulls back tariffs in a week or so

This requires investors to be complete morons, and repeatedly fall for him dumping the market every other month.

They might be, but even my dumbass isn't falling for this more than twice.

Every other month? Feels like weekly 😂

People are complete morons and will fall for this every month. Most, almost all, of the morons do not even realize that is exactly what is happening already. The rich will gain and take advantage of the predictable buying opportunities, while everything else stagnates (at best) or declines.

You give too much credit to hegdefunds. Manny retail folk made a lot of money from puts and many are full cash waiting to buy cheaper. The issue here is the impact on the real world that is the big big problem.

Yep. Any sliver of trust or credibility has been obliterated. Good luck with that.

"requires investors to be complete morons"

I don't know how to tell you this

What even constitutes "falling for it" here? Are people seriously liquidating their accounts based on this daily bs?

I'm just building up a cash position and dca'ing into my regular retirement accounts, I don't know what else an investor could possibly be doing.

I mean, there's enough morons to go around and get him elected. So.

He already pulled back on Mexico for the next month again. Talked with Canada today and is pulling pulling some, if not all, of them for another month too.

It’s just market manipulation at this point

Nah, the dump is far from over.

The pump will happen when everybody here is already too broke to participate.

Yeah, Elon Musk said as much before the election, he said he intends to crash the stock market

As is tradition.

The pump is likely to be weak though if that is the plan.

You can't keep yanking on investors balls with bullshit and then going "haha just kidding" its never been easier to invest anywhere you want.

The general sentiment is best diversify into other countries like the EU.

I think Trump thought it’d be like last week when rolling the tariffs back caused a green surge. But that trick only fools the markets once (with an indeterminant cooldown time)

The pumps are fake. Just creating liquidity for his billionaire buddies.

Also when you can make the market dump off a comment or pump off a delay or some other comment, well then sir, you need nothing else in the world. You have a superpower that can create billions.

As someone who is just getting into investing and stocks, can you explain to me what you mean?

It seems like it means that he is intentionally crashing the stocks so that they can be bought cheap, and then after the tariffs are reversed, sell them for more. Is that about right?

u/Extra_Espresso Mar 06 '25

That's not how tariffs work. Fuckwad Trump can remove the tariffs if he wants but the other countries placing retalitory tariffs have no reason to remove theirs. Damage done.

Try 4 hours from when you typed that. This guy is a bipolar joke.

u/Free_Roll8970 Mar 06 '25

Lol manipulation at its finest. Crypto pump (or dump) over the weekend!

1

u/shred-i-knight Mar 06 '25

that's not really how markets work. Institutions don't have to play this game and can put their money somewhere less risky. He's playing with fire.

1

u/jdmackes Mar 06 '25

Gonna be difficult if Canada keeps the tariffs on like they say they're going to. He's destroying trade with major partners and those sales aren't going to come back overnight.

1

u/Hopefully-Temp Mar 06 '25

The question is will the other countries pull back too

1

u/Free_Roll8970 Mar 07 '25

Most likely. Trumps ego will just keep pumping the percentages up if they dont

1

u/56000hp 29d ago

It’s been dump and more dump for me

1

u/snowwhitewolf6969 29d ago
