It may be a form a market manipulation, if this continues.

Your giving him to much credit. He can't let this dumb idea go, because he's incapable of admitting he was wrong. While we the salary dependent, 401k investors keep having to pay the price for his many personality flaws.

Modesty helps lead skeptics and supporters to your conclusions.

u/WhiteHornedStar Mar 06 '25
I wasn't really trying to lead anyone anywhere, but the other day someone bought A LOT of bitcoin on loans just before Trump announced the government was looking into buying it.
This is just disaster capitalism and the chicago school of economics at work. Basically after a catastrophe private interests can consolidate wealth super easily. It's basically a print money button in which you kill a bunch of people at the same time. They started in Chile, experimented in latin america, then I think they put it in practice in the US during Catrina.
They're probably finally done with experiments and are looking to consolidate everything and anything.

u/Bob4Not Mar 06 '25
Yup. They will slowly financially squash the population while they feed them fun narratives to distract them.

Except the market stopped caring about his bullshit, so it has sold off even more after the announcement

Getting business advice from a guy with 3 major bankruptcies...
Markets grow in steady environments.... Ask Buffet

u/Sea-Metal76 Mar 06 '25
Unfortunately "market falls" are greater on each cycle than "market recovers" and so it's a slow roll down a hill...

Trump hates Europe, has aligned with Russia.
Europeans now moving all their money back to Europe = us stock market crash. It’s almost 20 trillion .

Anyone putting money back into the market at this point is just asking to be conned. Put your money in something safe for now getting just a few % per year isn't good, but dealing with this bs is going to cost you your money and your health.

And somewhere in this cycle. Trump and his family are buying and selling stocks big time.
Remember you voted for a "business man"

Next time vote for a comedian, but not a failed artist, just not that.

I heard he’s doing this because his world’s largest deportation is a bust…keeps people’s attention on something else…seems about right

u/TheAwesomeMan123 Mar 06 '25
But now the market no longer recovers due to the uncertainty of the first step occurring sporadically without cause
1
u/retrogradeparallax Mar 06 '25
I hope the SEC is paying attention and will enforce laws if there is any market gaming going on.
1
u/PaulMakesThings1 Mar 06 '25
You forgot the step that explains the reason.
Sell stocks (and tell insider friends to) > implement tariffs > market falls > buy stocks > rollback tariffs > market recovers > (repeat)
1
u/Hirokage Mar 06 '25
You need a step between market falls and rollback... 'oligarchs buy up falling stocks.'

If this keeps up, we'll reach a point where the market becomes risk adverse. Investment will shrivel up as investors put their money into more tangible commodities. Hopefully, that'll put an end to America's finances being manipulated by a market comprised of greed, theoretical numbers, and lack of foresight.

Canada, don't distract by him. It will be 30.days and 30.days.
He just want to delay the impact and buy time until he reach the 100 th day so that he can put that in his achievements list.
Eventually the traiff will be there or even higher.

This will not work again. Unlike last time, market will not recover after this latest tariff delay. We all know we will be back here again in a month unless he completely abandons this tariff war.

And in each cycle you lose decades of goodwill. Once customers find another supplier it's hard to get them back.

lmao this is such a stupid post. You clearly have no sense of how tarrifs work - right now yeah it sucks but long term it'll pay off. Tarrifs go the US Treasury - i bet more than 50% of you didn't even know that. A 10% increase in tarrifs across the board would eliminate income tax basically giving you and i a 12- 24% raise in our paychecks. It is encouraging domestic production leading to increased jobs here - not to some outsourced Indian guy thousands of miles away doing it for 90% less and doing 90% worse job. Plus it prevents countries abusing the US - right now we're getting price gouged (you wanna talk about price gouging). If you see instant results in anything - you're doing it wrong. Success is a slow and steady process - it's never instant. Instead of shoving your heads up CNN's ass, actually read how tarrifs work and what Trump is actually doing.

How does one invest with all of this uncertainty?
That is the neat part, you don’t.
