I jumped out of the market when I saw Warren Buffet started dumping his stocks too. Just in time To keep my loss minimal.

Shit I jumped out back in 2008 before the housing bubble burst.

Jumped out before the great depression

My dad sold everything a couple of weeks ago. He says he feels really relieved, seeing the calamity he dodged.

They say you can't time the market but we read trump like a billboard. Already started buying back and have made so much money off his dumb ass

I've been all cash since early January.

I had been 100% equity since 2012, and almost sold a few times during 2024.

But what helped me take my decision was the investing talk around the Christmas dinner table. Everyone was talking bitcoins, ETFs, NVDA, TSLA, etc. That doesn't usually happen, no one in my family works in finance. And I remember reading that Michael Burry knew the market was cooked in 2000 when everyone around him started talking stocks around the water cooler.

Yea. I realized Reddit was working extra hard to “educate” the regular people on stocks. I realized a major pump and dump operation was going on.

6

u/Talltoddie 26d ago

Yes, I too jumped out of the market.. when I ran out of money..

I jumped out when I realized Warren got info most people don’t. He started dumping his stocks 3 months before the election. That means he knows damn sure Trump will win and all the polls were a lie.

Once the election ended, I came to this realization and followed along just in time to escape most of the down turn.

See I read that he knew Democrats were gonna win and took profits before tax cuts would expire and not be renewed.

You know whats the difference is between us and Buffett. He actually has an idea of what every stock is worth he is investing it.

It's a lot easier to time the market when you and your friends are the ones making it - Pablo Escobar

u/TacosAreJustice 26d ago

Who could have possibly known a second Trump term was going to be a chaotic shit show?

Hell, Elon said early on they were going to tank the market.

21

u/Clayp2233 26d ago

I was gaslit that it didn’t mean anything

2

u/saysjuan 26d ago

2

u/Training_Pop_5437 26d ago

"Stock market collapse"

1

u/Ok_Time_8815 26d ago edited 26d ago

Ok he has 300b in T-Bills, but how much does he still have in stocks?

3

u/desperate-pleasures 26d ago

I think 65%+ of his net worth if I recall correctly from his shareholder letter. Don't quote me on that.

1

u/Ok_Time_8815 26d ago

when they say Trump is sitting on a huge cashThanks for looking up, but this is exactly what a lot of people are completely missing pile. Yes he does, but he is also invested with 65+%.

He is not pulling everything out and wait for the crash and the number looks huge, but I guess a lot of investors have some reserves that are % equally (ok maybe most are 10-15% in Cash)

1

u/[deleted] 26d ago

Globalists! Obama! Biden! Ukraine! Canada! Mexico! Melania!

1

u/Dragon_slayer1994 26d ago

Just think - when he reinvests back in that is 300 billion of buying pressure to help recover the price

1

u/Particular_Hair6913 26d ago

Yeah he smelt this coming a year ago... God damn

1

u/Big_Apple8246 26d ago

Is that Mexican Henrique Cavillez.

1

u/vtsandtrooper 26d ago

He can probably start selling some of those tbills for their gains in about 30 more bps

1

u/Longjumping-Ad514 26d ago

Wait till the great Mar-a-Lago Accord idea gets implemented.

1

u/The_Lonely_Optimist 26d ago

Damn some roles just are to good to be true.

Wagner as Pablo James as Tony soprano Daniel d Lewis as Lincoln

1

u/YouSmall5716 26d ago

Dang dude I forgot how good Wagner Moura is at acting

1

u/cyesk8er 26d ago

It's not even 10% down yet,  I would hold off on calling it a collapse

1

u/Additional_Ranger441 25d ago

And yet no one is claiming he is manipulating the market…. It make me laugh!

1

u/Strange-Term-4168 25d ago

“Collapse”. The market is still up way higher from where he started holding so much cash.

1

u/DRayl15 25d ago

I don’t “jump out” like a bi@c#, I buy on the way down 😅

1

u/Vortep1 26d ago

He's one of those globalist!!!!

-6

u/soggyGreyDuck 26d ago

Is he buying yet? This could get a LOT worse but we all knew it was coming and we needed a president that would stick to the course and let things play out and recover naturally once we bring industry back. Still need to stop those H1B visas and off shoring. They should somehow add a tariff to offshoring work.

3

u/altapowpow 26d ago

They're going to ramp up H1B visas. They have already said that they would, just a matter of time.

Tech-to-farm for y'all.

2

u/BellyFullOfMochi 26d ago

bet he isn't.

2

u/SPX-Printing 26d ago

Why would Buffet buy now? When it all shakes out. He will bail out banks and other institutions like in the housing crash. He gets great stock options off market (direct from corporations) and loans them money at high rates. It is a win always. Not enough blood yet.

1

u/[deleted] 25d ago

Your degree, where is it from and what is it for?

1

u/ALDonners 25d ago

You can do that it's just the republicans are keeping it at a lower rate than normal corporate tax, a discount to offshore.
