Loss I'm old enough to remember when everybody on Wall Street was cheering Trump's victory because he was going to be so great for the stock market.

Our analysts may be geniuses but they can't see the future. How could they predict Trump would do the thing he repeatedly said he would? We stand by our decision, at the time, endorsing a deranged moron was the right call.

Trump was riding on Obama’s economy during his first term. Now, on his second term, he’s messing up Biden’s economy. President Biden never received the credit he deserves for his leadership during the post-COVID economic recovery.

12

u/XFrankXGrimesX 2d ago

and he never will. Biden focused on employment over inflation and making real gains for the people at the bottom. Too bad Americans are pigs who hated it. They want their servant class.

On my fucking SOUL he will. I don't give a fuck-- the historical record will be clear.

If there's one thing that's more important to me than anything when facing this cataclysmic evil we face, is that to make sure the record is fucking clear once we emerge from this. To make sure it never happens again and to make our country good.

And it fucking will. We will make sure of it.

In part because he didn't do it in his first term, or at least didn't accomplish such a stupid action. There were still adults in the room but those adults are gone now after warning us exactly this would happen. But I guess economic collapse is the price we pay for avoiding having a brown lady in the White House. Let them eat racism and misogyny I guess.

Except tariffs were one of the few things he did accomplish.

5

u/1980cpz 2d ago

No it wasn't. You said it yourself 'deranged'. Who supports a deranged person.

16

u/Independent-Buyer827 2d ago

The ones that’s about to benefit from a $1.4 T tax cuts.

6

u/UrghAnotherAccount 2d ago

Thinking this out, the US government is going to reduce its income by putting cutting taxes. This can be offset by the tariffs and cutting expenditure. However, if the public doesn't purchase tariffed goods because they are more expensive or their income hasn't grown, then doesn't the deficit grow dramatically?

7

u/Xijit 2d ago

Trump doesn't care because the more bankrupt the government is, the cheaper his Oligarch bosses can buy out government services & directly bill the American people for them (while we continue to be Taxed for them).

2

u/Sharkwatcher314 2d ago

You are way overthinking an issue manufactured to unite the base

1

u/MilitantlyWokePatrio 2d ago

Bro they don't care about the fucking deficit. They care about robbing the country blind to make it more unequal. It's that fucking simple. Trump wants to have everything and wants everyone else to have nothing. It's a fucking power trip bro. That's all there is to it.

"I just can't understand! He did what the liberals told us he would do! But they are crazy... and fox news told me to mock them and be arrogant... but he's doing what they said he would do! My brain can't handle this."

Something very, very good that is coming from this, even though it's a silver lining (but a powerful one) is that the credibility of liberals and our politics is going to be so fucking strong through this. We literally tried to save this country from this, and day by day more people will recognize that and feel it deeply. This will be great for us, in so far as building politically to evict these traitors and actually make our country great.

But he cut taxes to the rich doesn't care about the environment/ future of humanity... So that was supposed to outweight being incapable of proper thought or judgement because he doesn't comprehend words.

u/DavidGQ 2d ago

To be fair, it lasted much longer than him and Stormy Daniels

4

u/civgarth 2d ago

u/Brataz 2d ago

Trump is the tax on idiotism of people

12

u/mm_ns 2d ago

I was literally in a meeting with an asset manager that manages like 20 bil in funds on election day, he was going on and on how great a trump victory is going to be for markets etc, played off the tariff risk, the uncertainty he brings etc. Just complete dismissal of all the threats trump brings. Worst part is this was in canada as well, not even some Maga american.

u/Training_Pop_5437 2d ago

Good old days are over. Time to pay Trump’s piper.

14

u/Handsaretide 2d ago

What’s the USD to ruble conversion rate again?

14

u/Independent-Buyer827 2d ago

Soon to be 1 for 1.

5

u/ASaneDude 2d ago

We call this the “find out” stage of the process

26

u/Dead_Cash_Burn 2d ago

I knew even then all those gains were going to be gone. I just thought it would take longer.

7

u/Playingwithmyrod 2d ago

Dude same I was like he’s gonna fuck shit up but I thought it was gonna take until 2026 or 2027 after replacing Jerome Powell at least. If you told me he was going to enact trade policies THIS heavily within the first 90 days in office I would have liquidated my entire portfolio in January.

This is what we mean when we say that so many are sleep walking into fascism.

We must wake up.

u/tommyminn 2d ago

It's hilarious to watch those CNBC segments from 3-4 months ago

12

u/SkillGuilty355 2d ago

It might be the second dumbest reason to vote for a presidential candidate.

9

u/PressureSouthern9233 2d ago

Total disaster of a human being.

10

u/JonInOsaka 2d ago

Ugh, bring back Sleepy Joe. I can't take all this winning.

3

u/AccomplishedChair436 2d ago

My wife and child are in bed making me their servants with some combination of too much winning and the flu. Luckily I have a strong immune system and can handle all this winning

6

u/mom8385 2d ago

Only the cult. If you go bankrupt over and over again you are not a good business person.

7

u/Meat_Frame 2d ago

Well I’m not that surprised because Wall Street is a Demonic Temple that worships power and hierarchy, and such people fucking hate things like equity and inclusion and love to throw slurs at those they deem Lessers.

But it turns out Woke is the only thing keeping the imbeciles off the levers of power.

1

u/Underlord_Fox 2d ago

Boy, did we underestimate the importance of decency. When we get this country back, and I hear a young person being rude, I'm gonna tongue lash them whippersnappers real good. "Sonny! You mind your manners to that fine, upstanding immigrant, or we'll all end up back in Idiotic Kleptocratic Fascism!"

5

u/Independent-Buyer827 2d ago

That was last November, wasn’t it?

5

u/pomegranate444 2d ago

Trump has been fantastic for the stock market....for those who shorted it 😂

3

u/TheJenniStarr 2d ago

How many Scaramuccis was that?

2

u/Independent-Buyer827 2d ago

Almost 9 Scaramucci.

4

u/onallcylinders 2d ago

Yeah, we were at a work dinner pre election and ask to vote who do you want to win. Majority of hands went up for trump, their reason; because they wanted, and expected, the stock market to go up. 🙄

3

u/Nadirofdepression 2d ago

Not everyone. Only the stupid people

3

u/ASaneDude 2d ago

Used to think the “Wall Street analysts” were just dumb and wrong. Seeing how they misled investors over the last 3-4 months, I actually think they’re criminal now.

2

u/Downtown-Midnight320 2d ago

Ahhh ues, back when everyone thought they were getting 2016-2019 Trump admin instead of this clown car

2

u/Sharkwatcher314 2d ago

Simpler times.

2

u/ekydfejj 2d ago

Old Enough? well done

2

u/SonicDenver 2d ago

It’s not like it wasnt being reported for months before the election he was going to impose tarifffs. But bros online kept saying he was going to be great for the economy. All he did his first term was ride Obamas economy and give a giant tax cut for the rich.

1

u/Acceptable-Peace-69 2d ago

And impose tariffs. It’s one of the few things he accomplished.

It cost the USA $200+ billion and 40-50k jobs.

Also, he’s an idiot.

1

u/thegreyfirefly 2d ago

Money printing fools

2

u/shelter_king35 2d ago

Ya but he is a Russian asset trying to destroy the dollar. Makes sense what he’s doing for Russia. Sad most of America never caught on

1

u/tenderooskies 2d ago

bloomberg radio, still trying to figure it all out

1

u/Upper_South2917 2d ago

Not to worry, that Levine guy will surely write a corker of a column. Yeah, that’ll solve everything.

1

u/romeny1888 2d ago

Pepperidge Farms remembers…

1

u/Murky_Judgment3192 2d ago

Ugh! He is destroying the stock market! Is there anything that can be done about this!

1

u/melatonin2020 2d ago

Right now is the good time for u to write down the name of everyone who tells you trump will be great for the stock market.

1

u/lunaeo 2d ago

And y’all just…….voted for this. Just wild.

1

u/Sharkwatcher314 2d ago

In my day we promised tariffs and didn’t deliver like most politicians promises. You kids with your tariffs, teslers and new fangled EO’s

1

u/TheUser_1 2d ago

So so great to the stock market. The absolute best.

1

u/AdhesivenessCivil581 2d ago

Do you mean Jan 2025?

1

u/Antifragile_Glass 2d ago

“All in TQQQ!!!” Lmao

1

u/Davge107 2d ago

They thought he do the things Wall Street wanted him to do and the other stuff was just talk. It was just campaign rhetoric. He was a businessman after all and that had to be good for Wall Street and the markets after all. Right? They also thought once in office he listen to them if they told him a policy etc was bad for business or the markets tank. Oh well.

1

u/Xenuite 2d ago

Republicans are always abysmal for the economy. It never fails.

1

u/MilitantlyWokePatrio 2d ago

Arrogant fools. We have much work to do to BROWBEAT and bring these traitors to heel.

1

u/Tasty_Narwhal6667 1d ago

Did they not listen to Trump during the campaign? He only mentioned tariffs about a million times. None of this should be a surprise unless you are clueless and have not been paying attention.

-7

u/Commercial_Rule_7823 2d ago

Im gonna laugh when tomorrow opens green and closes green. All institutional buyers bought all retail shares.

4

u/Handsaretide 2d ago

Maybe markets will rip and we’ll only be down like 5% YTD

0

u/Commercial_Rule_7823 2d ago

Yeah who knows.

I think markets will be reacting to responses.
