Honestly the Sp500 is still up +5% compared to last year. This is nothing.. A long way to go before buy the dip

Just wait until the post tariffs earnings start rolling in. Company after company giving bleak forecasts due to rising costs and fewer customers.

Yeah but it's likely the tariffs won't even come into effect. We're in negociation phase right now.

The uncertainty has done its damage and is aggressively being priced in across all markets. Negotiations by unprovoked commercial attacks of allied countries and asking for money (gangster techniques). Stock markets don't like that.

So If tarifs dont happen then stock go back up? Or if not then it was a correction and was needed.

No because they have monopoly or better products or pricing in many cases. Who is going to boycott Nvidia or Amazon AWS?

The US MIC already wants to open factories. You forget that ASML is a Dutch company if push comes to shove we all lose. All unnecessary product will be non existent: Coca Cola (I already been witnessing the price on sale on Schwip Schwap in Germany from the Coca-Cola company on sale dropped from 0,89€ to now 0,59€. It used to always be on sale for the former price.

So there will be cheaper alternatives soon. Linux is European and now open source and the last years some government agencies switched to Linux because of its data security. Deepl is better than Google translate. Nextcloud is open source. Proton mail let's you import Gmail with perfect data security. Bolt has been an Uber replacement since years. Lemmy is the good reddit. Fairphone/Nothing Phone has a great future.

It will hurt but it will happen if Trump doesn't back off. It will start with social media and end with Android/Microsoft. Some government agencies in Germany have switched to their own customized Linux because of data concerns (which actually break confidelity laws. Germany is strict and regressive but right now that is a good thing. Doctors, agencies etc. don't communicate via Mail).

I wouldn't be so sure. ASML were asked by US to stop selling to Huawei and they complied.
