America giving up its place as the leader of the world. The place where you bring your money to, the place against whom you dont bet since its success is intertwined with global prosperity. This so that Midwesteners can sit in a dingy basement sewing footballs for 7.25 an hour. Holy fuck this is amazing

It's better than that, they won't be sewing them a robot will be doing that task. Tech jobs, robots are Lutnick's vision for America's "manufacturing renaissance"

For sure, but the manufacturing dream is doing those jobs that even the Chinese who were farmers up to 30 years ago are starting to offload to developing nations. Those are the jobs hes giving up everything to get back. If industries that are worth something comee out of this they will be super automated. How else are you going to be competitive otherwise? By outpacing Cambodian children who havent heard the term Worker Rights in their short lifespans? But a lot of high tech industries are exempt from sanctions ( semiconductors etc) so I don't get why you would essentially forgo the place as the money station for the globe to do that. Like it actually doesn't make sense. The new manufacturing will be done by engineers not american fatsos high on fentanyl.
