On top of the huge profits from absorbing new failed properties, you also get the benefit of no longer having pesky competition to keep you from setting prices as high as you want. It's monopoly time, and that's the goal. Monopoly the game was made to show people how awful unregulated capitalism is, and these bozos took it as an aspirational goal.

They want to destroy everything because the destruction and evil is the point.

Destroying public education means charter/private schools for the desirables = both profit and the ability to teach their propaganda without limitations while all the lessors get no education.

High tariffs hurt things like art and books incredibly hard which represent things they hate.

NIH funding being canceled not even because the subject itself is "woke", the subject can be 100% pure science with no mention of diversity but because of the person BEHIND it is one of the "undesriables" they on purpose shut down all research by non white males.

Rich people don't care about higher prices for food or gas. The destruction of 401k's? They don't need it.

What they want is stock prices and similar things to fall so they can buy it at a low price and take control themselves or sell later on when it goes back up for a profit.

It's funny how many people here want to buy low and sell high and yet they aren't causing suffering to hundreds of millions in doing so.

Their evil and hatred and their willingness to destroy everything to profit and attack those they disagree with is their sole desire. The cruelty is the point.

And they will never suffer for it because more than half this country agrees with them. And they will accept suffering so long as the libs get owned. Their hatred of everything will let these people in charge do whatever they want.

Agreed except it isn't more than half of the country agreeing with them. It was only half of the people who actually voted in this election, which is why their goal is to always keep voting as restricted as possible

It's the reason why we don't have any proper anti-monopolization laws and the right interprets "free market" as meaning "free to corner the entire market". They don't want independent business owners. They want to own everything, cut as many costs as they can and keep us as desperate and obedient workers.

Just spoke with two Trumper friends of mine who were complaining about their 401ks and they STILL say Kamala would have been terrible, and that at least all the blue-haired trans and LGBT ppl are being handled. Whatever that is supposed to mean. There's no getting through to them. They're excited for Vance to take the helm.

They do it constantly, but the left gave them a ton of ammo that the mainstream U.S. wasn't comfortable with yet. In a democracy that's a fatal mistake. Issues like that need a long, slow marination. I'm on your side, but it was way too much too fast.

How many times did Harris mention transgenders on the campaign trail in speeches, interviews and ads? Cuz I seem to remember her focusing on helping the working class, reigning in the corporate elites, and supporting the troops, while Dump and the GOP spent tens of millions of dollars in ads and hundreds of hours ranting and raving about transgender panic identity politics.

They aren't, though. Radicals want disorder and misery in order to convince the normies that radical change is needed. If you want markets and liberalism then you work to make markets and liberalism work. If you want authoritarian Marxists, then you do just what Trump is doing, by destabilizing the system in order to demonstrate that the status quo doesn't work.

The key is that the other side is in power when things go bad, so that you can be the "lesser of two evils" alternative.

Exactly this. They don’t care. Republicans are now spinning this as “correcting the market and are okay with paying more so their GRANDCHILDREN can be batter off” they don’t even plan to see the real economic “winning” until their old and almost dead. The winning that’s keeping them afloat is harming those they disagree with. Which is why anti- DEI is being pushed so hard. It’s to keep their focus off their economic pain and suffering.
