MEME Dow down another 1000 points. There’s too much winning, Mr. President. We cannot take it anymore.

I’ve just never encountered a population that just ignores evidence like this? Like even my conservative parents are voting liberal this time. But I’m in Canada. I don’t know why Americans are so scared of changing their minds or admitting when they’re wrong.

The media is controlled entirely by right wing billionaires. They only see propaganda and hear the same from their neighbors.

Is media really their only source of info? Why aren’t they watching the actual debates and forming their own opinions?! Or just reading what each candidate is promising? The “news” down there just seems like opinion pieces and propaganda so why even watch it?

Because most people don't care enough to do that.

You mean the debates where Trump repeats the exact same insane right wing propaganda like how immigrants are eating cats and dogs?

It’s a brainwash cult, MAGA will never change. Can’t reason yourself out of something you didn’t reason yourself into. The head of the snake needs to be removed for MAGA to die off.

Exactly that or they drink the Kool aid and die. Too bad we all have to suffer alongside them.

Our elected officials aren't having debates because it could confuse message.

They find conservatism comforting in its simplicity. Trump is a populist demagogue with Russian backers/puppetmasters, experts at propaganda.

If a conservative has some doubts, their favorite media sources will quickly feed them talking points so they don't have to switch mindsets, and are enabled to feel smart and normally superior instead. Now they can be "smarter" than those eggheaded libtards and look down on THEM for a change!

Feels good I suppose, though I'll never understand why those who want to have the moral high ground don't actually pick the morally-superior side.

The average intelligence and knowledge of Americans is grossly overestimated

slow down... If I were to ask the same question to a right-winger, he will say the media is controlled by LEFT-wing billionaires. You all need to understand that it's us that's doing the controlling. We are painting the narrative and creating this conspiracy and media just plays along

Fox News Washington Post NY times NY Post LA Times

All owned by Trump aligned billionaires.

Now list the left wingers and the major media outlets they own.

As a fellow Canadian it blows my mind, too. I don’t even think the most blue blooded Albertan would fall this deep down the rabbit hole of denial.

It's because of outlets like this and social media. The more people spout their opinions anonymously, the more brains are being wired to hate opposite views. Go ahead and get on a thread and say the opposite and you will be attacked into submission.

I don’t know why Americans are so scared of changing their minds or admitting when they’re wrong.

Because they've made politics their whole identity. This is the problem with having no limits on campaigning. Politics is part of the US news cycle 365 days a year, every single year, with no breaks. There's always an election coming up. As such, everyone is always talking about politics, and they pick sides and make it their identity.

In Canada politics is only relevant for a brief period of time every few years, and we don't mix our federal, provincial, and municipal politics together. So it's far less likely that someone will make their political affiliation their identity, because most of the time it'd just seem weird.

The population doesn't just ignore evidence - they ignore everything. Watching debates? They have no fucking idea what is happening. When they do tune in, they tune into bullshit. Someone I know literally just found out about Signalgate BECAUSE I TOLD THEM. It's all vibes and bullshit and whatever they can smell in the air that day.

They’ve mastered the art of entrenching the easily manipulated. They did it with Trump, they did it with Brexit. Guess who they is.

They are stupid. That’s the answer. Stupid people are really stubborn

Speaking as an American, it's a combination of ignorance, entitlement, and maliciousness.

This isn't just a problem with the conservatives in this country, but the moderates, liberals, and leftists.

People care so much about being right, that they'll fuck themselves and everyone around them instead of making a logical decision to make things better. And that's why we're behind most of the rest of the world, and why we'll never catch up.

54% of American adults read at grade 6 level or below. They are also defunding department of education. That may have something to do with the fact they are so brainwashed

Never underestimate how dense they are. I always find myself doing that.
