MEME Dow down another 1000 points. There’s too much winning, Mr. President. We cannot take it anymore.

Same….felt so proud of myself finally getting my 401K started and putting in a large portion of my paychecks. Buh bye 👋🏾

If you are far from retirement, fret not. Enjoy being able to get even more shares with lower stock prices.

If you’re close to retirement, then F.

If you’re worried the market won’t recover. Then we have bigger problems as a nation to worry about lol. Either it recovers and your stocks bounce back, or American money is done for. Kinda nothing to lose.

No there’s a lot to lose - turn your American dollars into precious metals or a more stable currency.

Too late for anyone holding a 401k stock bag post-free fall.

You think we’re done? Futures aren’t looking great

There’s plenty left to loose.

This is such a shallow, facile, senseless take for the current situation.

I stopped putting cash in years ago after seeing how bearish Buffett was

I have literally zero knowledge of this stuff, so forgive my ignorance. But won’t the shares eventually bounce back? From what I’ve seen in the past, they seem to fluctuate. Doesn’t that mean you’ll hopefully be back to or around where you were?

Indeed. How long it’ll take to bounce back is anyone’s guess. To the other commenters point, I’m far enough from retirement I’ll be ok. My parents might be f’d.

Why will they bounce back because he’ll change the tariffs with negotiations or because US will all of a sudden have all these manufacturing jobs? Because we don’t have enough people employ all those unless we get tons of immigrants. This is so shortsighted it almost seems like sabotage. Maybe 70 years ago this could’ve stunted all the jobs leaving in the US but it’s a different world now.

only if you can hang on long enough without selling to make up for a cashflow problem.

Lots of people, particularly those nearing or at retirement, are going to be forced to sell a a huge discount. Once you sell those losses are realized and you're fucked.
