China has already responded with tariffs and other nations are already preparing.

I would really like to know if Trump will keep his promise and retaliate back for the retaliation he suffered.

How expensive a miscalculation and an unsuccessful bluff are.

The sad thing is that the Americans are the ones paying for this and not Trump himself, who must be short now.

The Americans had a choice and decided to elect this guy. He told them he will make tariffs on everything. Now they get what they have ordered.

It's sad to see this, but I agree with you.

It was brainwashing, he appealed to emotions, he exploited that very well.

I’ve run a massive trade deficit with my local dispensary over the years. I give them money and get nothing but marijuana products in exchange.

How do I stop them from ripping me off?

I know, I’ll tariff them! 20% seems fair.

Now when I spend $100 on marijuana products, I’ll place an extra $20 in my “dispensary tariff jar” at home. This will make my household very wealthy and stop the dispensary from ripping us off.

Eventually the tariff may encourage me to grow my own marijuana at home, despite the fact that I don’t have the space, resources, or know how to do so. Eventually my hypothetical home grown marijuana business will be able to produce marijuana products that compete with the marijuana products the dispensary provides.

Once that finally happens, I’ll get to see all the riches my tariff policy will provide my household!

Seems insane right? Well I hate to break it to you, but this is literally the level of logic we’re destroying the world economy over.

No, it's not. You had an election, this is what you voted for. The tax is on Americans.
