2 months in and dealing with some possibly nasty side effects?

Typically the only "symptom" I have is burping and farting a lot, with an occasional bout of dumping syndrome (already was dealing with that due to having no gallbladder). But for the last day and a half I haven't been able to eat hardly anything and have had the worst bouts of diarrhea (and a few times of throwing up) since starting on Wegovy. I'm only on the second dose up and I want to know if anyone else had experienced this or not. I have a Dr appointment on the 8th that I'm definitely going to be bringing this up also.

Side note: I'm 2 months in on the shots and 9.2 lbs down from my starting weight of 359 lbs (currently 353 the last I saw my nutritionist)

GI side effects are the number one side effect with GLP1 meds and often why people stop taking them, so yes, what you’re experiencing is normal (although vomiting doesn’t seem as normal on these meds).

As someone else mentioned you could be sick with the flu or some other virus on top of wegovy side effects.

Make sure you’re drinking a ton of fluids so you don’t end up in the hospital

I have a different set of symptoms but what you are describing is an extremely common complaint on the Reddit forums. Check them out, there is a lot of advice people give on how to counteract the various side effects.

I have been on Wegovy for a year, and have indeed had new side effects show up months after starting. It's the Wegovy, especially since you are on the second dose up now. It can take a while to build up in your system as it has a long half life.

I have had bouts of diarrhea and vomiting as well (amongst many other side effects). Fortunately I don't have it all the time.

You could actually just be sick with a stomach flu or ate something bad. Stay hydrated and try broth and shakes but lay off the solids until your gut approves.

If that’s not it, it might be how much or what you’re eating. Get a 500ml (2 cup) max container and limit what you eat in one sitting to that volume, low fat low sugar, low acid easy to digest stuff. Then also give yourself HOURS between portions, and stop eating a few hours before bed.

Unless you’re diabetic, just listen to your body if it doesn’t want to eat much for a few days and stay hydrated.

Depends on your mg, but it took my body about 5 months to adjust. Gas X and Pepto changed my life during the transition period, thanks to reading others comments on Reddit.

In my experience this is pretty normal.
