Trump Administration Drops Efforts to Provide Medicare coverage for GLP1s for obesity

The Biden administration had started the ball rolling to get GLP1s covered for obesity under Medicare. The Trump administration decided today to not move forward with the approval process.

I follow this issue closely, and the administration's abandonment of this proposal is a SIGNIFICANT setback. It means we won't see any more movement on Medicare GLP1 coverage for obesity until we have a new Administration. That's not a political rant. That's reality.

When are the pharma companies going start fighting back? If all medical research also stops that hinders their ability to sell other breaking meds.

Anything good for the people is bad for orange

Edit to add : can’t wait til his voters find out. Oh wait. The cult will come up with something to convince them being fat is better.

He’s been taking them. He’s noticeably thinner than he was in his first term and I can guarantee he didn’t get there from exercise and cutting out the Big Macs. He still has more to go because see above but also he’s almost 80. It’s going to come off slower no matter what
