I’m not sure you mean why so much as how and what? How did somebody find the molted head of a jumping spider in the first place? And when they did, what even made it occur to this person that they could fill it with sand and take a photo image of it under the microscope? Well friend. The Artist’s mind is a mysterious and wondrous and scary place!
So what i get from this post is that if there were hypothetically giant insects we could use their molted head caps like armor with built in organic goggles
With all of my prints that involve sand, I only print one copy ever and the grains get glued under the print in a window in the double mat. Thats why I call my name 1of1images
Here’s an example of one with just two grains of sand, with full reflection :
Look close and you’ll see two tiny grains in that window in the mat
Mostly my FB group where I post them and I’ve got some 58k followers But a friend is helping me develop a website store soon. I literally have 4,000 different sand pics I haven’t sold yet, but need a way to sell them better than Etsy
Most just message me and say what they want and I provide them with options
I love how you can see the grains of sand through the eye lenses. It’s hard to stay unique nowadays when it comes to art, so I’m always impressed when I see something that someone made that I’ve never seen before. You did an amazing job. Thank you for sharing.
