Keep finding my bedsheets stained with green little dots

Post image

i’ve been trying to find the answer for this for years. 1. I’m the only person who sleeps in this bed 2. I don’t eat or drink anything in my bedroom 3. I don’t have hair that is dyed or dyed green

I’ve also had these same exact splotches show up blue before too

I think I figured out out-OP has a post from 1y ago about having had a problem with carpet beetles… and wouldn’t ya know it, carpet beetle larva leaves green spots on sheets-

(Edit for typo)

I mean, I could be totally wrong and OP should definitely check with their doctor to make sure it’s not CSF leaking out of their ears or something terrible. In this case, I think it’s best to apply Occam’s razor (the simplest, most elegant explanation is usually the one closest to the truth)-the stains are most likely insect-related.

Weirdly enough, I recently learned from another post that CSF stains are mostly clear (larger) spots with a yellower halo at the edge

Carpet beetles can absolutely leave small green/blue stains

that makes a ton of sense but also doesn’t totally explain why they sometimes come up blue too

I swear sometimes carpet beetles just jumpscare you once and then never return for like another week for no reason
