Find anything good ?

I had to clean out a rental house, renters had been gone 3 months. Lots of clothes to Goodwill, many still in store bags, trips to the dump.

Oh, and the kid’s room had a bunch of Snap-On tools they evidently got from dad’s tool box.

If you found some Snap-On tools, that's a year's worth of rent right there lol

Holy hell, you're not kidding. Just looked it up and a small ratchet set is going for $3,000

I should abandon my place for a few days and see if anyone does the dishes for me. 😆

Cleaning up the piano room in the Abandoned Hoarder House!

This is something I have wanted to do for many years but I had never found the right room to do it in – until now!

So, after I completed my explore, posted my video, my pics and my site gallery I waited a few days and went back to do the deed.

I figured it was probably going to take me 2 or 3 visits to do, I arrived with a bunch of garbage bags, rags, cleaner, a respirator and gloves and got right to work.

After about 4 hours of constant stuffing things in garbage bags and tossing everything into another room, I was pretty much done.

It kills me that I was not able to vacuum or clean the floor better and I really wanted to hang pictures back on the wall but there were no nails in the walls and I didn’t come equipped for that.

So, now we have an abandoned hoarder house, with every room packed with trash and one really nice-looking room!

I made a video of this whole process and I time-lapsed it, as well as posting several more photos, check that out here:

Why did you want to do this?

yeah, this a very strange concept to me.

I do some strange things myself; there's always a thought process or reasoning behind it and I'm curious what that is here.

There's a lady on instagram who does this, which is pretty ...neat. 😆 but yeah, she essentially does this exact same thing, but made a channel out of it and now gets paid for content thru monetization. Pretty cool what people do. Just gotta find your niche.

Now put everything back where you found it!

The spirits that reside there will be very happy you did this.

Hey OP, we're going to "abandon" our house for 5 days in May. You're welcome to come clean up all the shit my wife doesn't. Help yourself to the bar, garden, pantry, etc

Seriously, this is a weird pastime, but I respect you for it 👍🍻

You didn’t clean shit. You just piled up the trash in another room.

Pretty much what my kids do when they clean their rooms except it all gets pushed under the bed 😆

One man’s trash is another man’s clean room… as the saying goes

Love this.

Did the piano sound ok?

u/Biguitarnerd 4d ago

Probably way out of tune but that’s a Yamaha and unless my eyes are off it’s a grand piano (as opposed to a baby grand) if it could at all be salvaged it would be worth a lot of money. Yamaha isn’t top of the market but even a baby grand would be worth a lot, if functional.

I’ve seen so many pianos being given away free and many being discarded at the dump. It’s such quality wood and heavy metal parts. Makes me sad

u/Biguitarnerd 4d ago

Yeah usually not a grand though, stand ups from off brands get tossed or given away all the time but a Yamaha grand you don’t see that as often..,, although you also don’t see them in bad shape often. I think people making that kind of investment tend to take care of them better.

That’s good to hear

Used to clean dead people’s homes for a law firm. 15 dead cats on the floor stuck, poop from dead cats, unknown all sorts of stuff, and sex toys abounded. Bring yer cadaver cat scraper.

You must have some great stories.

This is some serious dedication, but that curtain is vile. Still looks kinda shitty but  definitely an improvement

So basically you moved the rat nest into two separate rooms.

Good job!!!

Who wants to clean my house for no reason?

1

u/Responsible_Nose6262 2d ago

Why did you even bother? It looks really good, but are you planning on moving in?

u/Airplade 4d ago

But why? Use that energy to make a difference in your community. One that actually improves the lives of people and or animals.

Amazing work!

You’ve now changed the unique character of that room. 😮 Adapting it to your taste.

The unique character? You mean a dump. He’s pretty much put it together how it would of been without all that trash. Always a moaning Minnie in the room 😂

Huh. Higher humour is a thing of the past.

Still gross.
