This looks like what would happen if Terry Gilliam directed The Swiss Family Robinson.Β

That loft looks both cozy and luxurious at the same time. Love it

It was even more impressive inside πŸ§žβ€β™‚οΈ

Exactly we have so many old and abandoned homes that could be fixed up and lived in or re-purposed....This gross over building is a huge issue.

u/emasies 2d ago

Absolutely, it's been left now for 12 years

Did you see any pollinators around? Wondering if there are any Arbian Bee's in the area.

4

u/emasies 4d ago

Gladly I didn't see any bees πŸ˜‚πŸ

Power is still on, whoever slept in the bed charging their phone

6

u/emasies 4d ago

No power, there was a water leak down stairs it was all fried! I didn't take any pictures of downstairs it was ruined

Is this truly abandoned? Looks pretty lived in to me - cluttered sure, but somebody's home.

This is damn near the exact picture I had in my mind when I read Bridge to Terabithia as a kid.

I can see what you mean πŸ˜‚

We had this mansion posted a few weeks before and almost any comment agreed on how that is most likely a weekend or vacation home and not abandoned at all

u/emasies 3d ago

Ahh, I see a lot of people who thought this until last month. But we spoke to the caretaker and have it on video that will be uploaded soon. It's been abandoned for 12 years! He's been keeping the property up for about 4 years now, and it's been constantly broken into since the start of the year.
