Forgotten Tech Giant

Perhaps it’s not technically abandoned as there is basic maintenance and security present but it’s been vacant and decaying for years.

Surprisingly sad to walk around what was once a bustling, optimistic, energy filled campus of an almost forgotten tech giant.

This quaint hamlet, with remnants of a 13th-century castle and a small church, is steeped in history and haunted by legends, including tragic love stories and ghostly apparitions that outnumber its living inhabitants.

Here are some additional photos of Dean Gardens! The property once held the title of being the largest private residence in all of Georgia, it was also once said to be the highest priced home in the entire United States. The 42,000 square foot mansion was abandoned for half a decade before demolition. If you'd like to see Dean Gardens in all its glory before it was demolished, here's a link.

Abandonded Hotel - Portugal

This small town was once a super tourist destination, but now has a good chunk of abandonded buildings. This is located roughly an hour north of the city of Porto. Its crazy to see the deterioration of the buildong itself, but foundationally it was still solid. The locals tell me this place has been closed since around 1992. I hope you'll appreciate this is my first post in the community. If anyone has any questions, ill do my best to answer.

Striving for mediocrity! That's my motto!

I will say though that the pictures with the itty bitty cars and it seems like I should've filled the frame with the subject etc. etc.

The originals are HUGE. The usual: Pano, f1.8 lots of megapixels etc. etc.

So just imagine wall sized prints not just seeing it on the supercomputer in your pocket

Abandoned Home in Seven Mile Ford, VA

Does anyone have any information about the beautiful old home that sits high on a hill there and suffered a fire within the past decade (I think)? It's so fascinating to me.

Portrait in a quarry

Not abandoned! Just thought I'd get that out there. These were taken at a quarry where they have like a million billion old cars on display just because.

The entire time I was there a pleasant tinkling sound could be heard. Upon investigation there was a near-vertical cliff face with constant rocks falling. Whatever type of rock it was it would actually ring. The entire face of the mountain was obligingly turning itself into gravel and falling into a neat pile at it's base. All they had to do was scoop and sell. What got me was that it never stopped for the 2 hours I was there. Very interesting.

The last photo is a tree. Pano, f1.8 big megapixels you get the idea.
