Fit Check [FIT CHECK] Panache Cari 30E -- I think I'm close here? Spoiler

I think I’m pretty close to narrowing down the right bra fit. I thought to try this bra after I felt like the Panache Envy fit well in a 30F (30E also fit but gave me a weird pulled-towards-center shape that I didn't like) but didn't like how the seams showed through most of my tops. Another post here mentioned that someone else in a similar situation should try the Cari. I bought this first in a 30F and the cups were too big, but I think these are about right. The fit is quite comfortable and secure. Am I close here?

FYI, My measurements are: 29.5,29,28 35,37,34

Fit Check [Fit Check] - Panache Envy 36K Still not right Spoiler

Hello everyone,

https://ibb.co/Z6dTQNnm

https://ibb.co/ZzvzntMh

https://ibb.co/1GC5wq49

Measurements:

Loose ub: 38’

Snug ub: 36’

Tight ub: 35’

Standing: 51’

Leaning: 58’

Lying: 54’

Calculator size: 38K/KK

I tried the Panache Envy in 38K and the consensus was it was too large in both the band and the bust. So this is the 36K.

The band was tight but that’s standard for this bra, nothing that a bit of stretching out can’t fix. The straps are still way too wide causing weird gaping where the straps meet the cup. The cups feel too small I think? I’m not sure if it’s a size issue or a shape issue at this point.

Other bras I’ve tried are the Elomi Cate 38K which was too small in the cup, and several Bravissimo Bras in 38K which were all too full on top. I have ordered the Elomi Himari Plunge but it’s on back order in my size so I haven’t been able to try it yet.

Fit Check [Fit Check] Cinthia Unlined 34G doesn't fit well + is uncomfortable. Size and shape issue maybe? Spoiler

https://postimg.cc/gallery/vmhty3n Photo gallery for reference

I have two Cinthia Unlined bras from AdoreMe, both 34G US sizing. I got them a long time ago when I was (what I thought was) properly fitted into the correct size. I didn't know anything about shape or different styles and I just got something cute and lacy. Now going through this sub I realize that was a bad idea 💀.

I used the calculator to get my new size because I'm pretty sure it changed a bit over the years??

Loose Underbust: 31in Snug: 30in Tight: 30in Standing:37in Leaning: 42in Lying:40in

The calculator gave me 30G in UK sizing but I feel like that might be too small? I do agree that the 34 band as is might be a bit too big. On my old one (black) it still feels loose even on the 3rd set of hooks and on the newer one (red) it's snug on the third. So maybe I could try for a 32.

But I also think the cup should be bigger? In the photos I posted I have very obvious spillage at the top and towards the middle. The gore DOES NOT TACK!! And I feel like my boobs are being squished at the sides. And that's with scooping and swooping. I can't even bend forward really because my boobs start spilling out towards the center.

Maybe a cup with more depth to it would be more supportive and comfortable?

There's also this issue I'm having where I think my right boob sticks out more than the left (is bigger?) causing a weird angling to happen when I wear a shirt. It's more obvious with the older bra.

I've honestly gone braless for so long now and it's ruined my ability to wear what I want comfortably.

Recommendations? Bra recs? I'm having a lot of trouble and could really use some help!!! :( Spoiler

The calculator has given me 34C/D in both US and UK sizing, and 36B/C as a "more comfortable" option. My chest is pretty shallow and wide-set. I do love when my chest looks flatter and really need it to move as little as possible, but my biggest issue is comfort. I always feel like I have back pain in every bra I wear, and I'm looking to get a sports bra that is comfortable for me. What brands would you recommend looking at? Are there any specific bra brands or companies or individual bras that would meet my needs? I don't want anything too tight because I don't want to cause damage to my ribs (so please no suggestions to undersize or use a chest-binder!)

P.S. pronouns are they/them, and I'm pretty poor, so the cheaper the better!

Recommendations? Please help me find a bra that fits well! Spoiler

Upvotes

I used the bra size calculator and it said I was a 42F in uk sizing. (Underbust measurements are 44 loose and 42 snug, bust measurements are 48 standing and 50 leaning) I have issues with gaping at the top and the edges of the cups and straps tend to dig into my armpits uncomfortably. For years I've only really worn sports bras but l'd really like to get a bra that fits well and is comfortable to wear for more than a few minutes.

This seems much better than the Envy. How does this one seem to fit? The band feels snug but not uncomfortable, I will say, though, my period is about to start and my breasts are sore and slightly puffier today than normal.

What do I wear underneath this top?

Thumbnail nishorama.com
5 Upvotes

I've never worn anything less than tank top straps because of my broad shoulders. fairly heavy sometime saggy bust (36D/F depending on brand) and a lump of fat near my armpits. But the summers are going to get really hot and I think I'm ready to wear some spaghetti straps and halter necks. I haven't the faintest clue what goes underneath them though. I know for smaller or firm busts pasties work great but that's not me. I know of boob tapes but they're disposable and I can't be taping my boobs every other day. Please help me out with some sustainable and feasible option!

I did some calculations for my closest match (Indian inexpensive ver) as 32H

Hello girlies, I posted a few days ago abt how I bought a 32H bra which turned out to be US size, 3 inches smaller on the bust and ultimately making my boobs spill.

Some of the members recommended that I try Parfait bra which is available in India as well but honestly, it is wayy too expensive for me as a university student on a budget. So I did some digging around, pulled out sizes in inches of both Parfait & other inexpensive bras and I came to a conclusion that in the expensive brand, Trylo, my best fitting would be 34I (you can check out the image attached for more details: https://imgur.com/gallery/tEOy5Px) This means I am a 32H according to the calculator but in that specific inexpensive brand, my closest match is 34I.

I'm writing this for future reference of any fellow 32H girlie from India who wants a cheap bra. The bra will arrive in some days and I'll let you guys know abt the actual fit. If 34I in Trylo won't fit me, I'll go for 34J. Only Trylo, Marks & Spencer and Parfait makes bra acc/to ABTF size of 32H in India. This makes me wanna start my own bra brand 😑

Thank you for being so helpful!! 🎀

Fit Check Fit Check Help. Recent Breast Augmentatiom Spoiler

I had a breast augmentation a couple of months ago. I understand things will change and I’m fully aware this size may not fit me in a few months but I need something to wear in the meantime that isn’t a sports bra. This one feels good but by the end of the day the underwire feels so rigid and it left obvious marks. This is a 34DD Wacoal Back Appeal Smoothing. Most of the 32 I’ve found feel very snug.

Recommendations? Need suggestions for comfortable bralettes or triangle bras Spoiler

The wife and I have used the calculator and some test bras to verify her 38B size. Then we figured out that some more typical bra designs left a lot of open gore, I think the term is, leading us to bralettes and triangle bras for a bottom-full breast shape.

We've tried some aubade ones which are pretty good but are very lacy and seem more like lingerie than every day bras. So my request is for recommendations for such bras that are more... Every day styled? Feel free to ask questions or otherwise educate us!

Fit Check Fit check for 30G Freya Deco - band feels great, but not sure about cups and straps Spoiler

https://ibb.co/album/4spT3f

Hello!

I finally got my hands on the Freya Deco in 30G. The band feels fantastic (I think the best band I’ve ever tried), but there’s the tiniest bit of gaping and the straps are a little wide I think - I get a bit of chafing right near the bows.

Would love to know what people think of the fit and where I should go from here. This bra fits well enough, that I think I might keep it, but I know it’s not the best fit it could be, you know?

Thanks so much :)

Fit Check [FIT CHECK] various bras 36D, No idea what size & type of bra I'm supposed to be wearing. Give a girl some direction (only ever wore bras around D cup, but the calculator tells me I might be an FF (in uk measurements)) Spoiler

Upvotes

This is basically my first ever trying to find a bra that properly suits me. Also, English isn't my first language and I'm doing my best lol.

Apparently a lot of bras in Finland are sized by S, M, L, XL, XXL etc instead of the ABCDE etc way so I'm mostly looking for direction here with how much bigger/smaller the new bras I get should be compared to some of my old ones. Also, I just discovered that apparently the boob shape also matters when it comes to what bra is most suitable and I have no idea what sort of bras would work with my shape the best.

I basically knew nothing about how bra sizes actually work until a few hours ago so please be patient with me, I am very dumb lmao. I was under the impression I was a D cup so the calculator telling me I'm a 36FF was a bit of a shocker. Maybe my boobs having a bit of sag makes the calculator think they're heftier than they actually are? idk.

I also often get that thing where the boobs are overflowing on the sides. Like the bra will cover the nips and most of the front boob but the underboob, sideboob and topboob will try to escape their confines.

Pretty much all of my bras also struggle to handle the full weight of the honkers. When I lift my boobs up so that the bottom of the bra is fully snug with the underbust part (so where the boob meets rib) and the bra is holding the full weight of the boob, the bra basically collapses and starts sagging too.

As for my fit issues, I'd say pretty much all bras feel suffocating? Like my chest feels too tight and my boobs feel uncomfortably squished together. I also get a lot of backpain pretty much constantly but Idk if that's related.

I think my boobs are projected? But I honestly cant tell since they sag quite a bit and I don't know how think around that. My boobs are very full at the top and pretty mid full at the bottom.

I think my roots would be short cuz I do often get that gap at the front under the bra straps. My boobs only ever overflow from the top if I'm wearing a REALLY small bra so I doubt I have tall roots.

I'm pretty sure my roots are more on the narrow side. Again, it's kinda hard for me to tell due to the sag.

Here is are my measurements:

Loose underbust - 92cm / 36.2 inch

Snug underbust - 87cm / 34.2 inch

tight underbust - 80cm / 31.5 inch

standing bust - 109cm / 43 inch

leaning bust - 117cm / 46 inch

lying bust - 112cm / 44.1 inch

UK results - 36FF

US/Ca results - 36H

Here are the bras. Sorry about not having better info on their sizes. I cut the tags off immediately and at least some Finnish stores just don't give clearer info on the sizes.

(The bras and/or pictures make my boobs look smaller than what they look like when I let them free roam without the bras. Might be because of how the bras squish my boobs down, idk)

https://imgur.com/a/wWAZQrt

Please tell me if I should give more info or clarify some points. I am very lost lmao.

New here - Shocked at My New Bra Size! Spoiler

Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I stumbled across this subreddit while on the hunt for bra recommendations, and I had no idea how much I didn’t know! You all are so knowledgeable, and honestly, I feel like a total noob.

So here’s my story: I recently visited Klynn and got fitted. I walked in thinking I was a 38DD… and walked out with a Wacoal 34H minimizer bra. I’m shocked. The difference in fit and support is unbelievable especially after pregnancy and breastfeeding, where sagging became my new normal. This bra genuinely lifted everything up and made me feel supported for the first time in ages.

That said… the bra cost me $60, which feels a bit steep for just one bra. I also read that minimizer bras shouldn’t be worn daily, which makes me feel even more like I need alternatives.

Here’s where I’m stuck: I’m trying to shop mostly on Amazon but 34H seems to barely exist. I’d love your help with a few things: 1. What sister sizes can I try that might give me more options? 2. Any affordable brands you recommend for full support, ideally under $40? 3. Should I avoid minimizers for daily wear, or is that just a myth?

Thanks in advance for any help! I’m honestly just excited to be on this journey to finding bras that actually fit and feel good.

I am in UAE but my friend is visiting UK soon so I can order something online and get them to bring it here.

TIA a looott! 🥰

Measurement Check Lost weight - 38D is now too loose. Spoiler

Hi All,

I used to wear a 38D - unpadded bra with no wire. I’ve lost a lot of weight in the past year - from 80kg down to 60kg. As a result I’m struggling to find a new bra size that fits well. My current 38D bras are too loose, both band size and cup size.

My new measurements are below:

Loose underbust - 35” Comfortable underbust - 34” Tight underbust - 32” Bust Standing - 39” Leaning - 42” Laying - 39”

Calculator mentioned im a 34DD or 34E - would you agree?

I also used the basic method of measuring bra size and that gave me 34DD?

Just wanted to check before I go ahead and order some bras x

Professional fitting—gore not tacking, hope is lacking Spoiler

I have ordered and tried on, and sent back so many bras over the past month and a half and I’m still looking for something that fits. I’ve cried many times over this already, and my body image and bank account is tanking. You can see my measurements and more info about my shape in previous posts. I went to a professional boutique and they put me in a 34 G Goddess Keira. I think the cups are too small bc the gore is not tacking at the top. I can fit almost all my fingers under it. However, it was not this bad in the store. And the underwire feels more ok than any other bra I’ve tried had so far. Should I try a 34GG somehow? Is it hopeless and should I just accept this bra (that I can’t return 😭).

Question [Question] Is the Triumph size guide inaccurate?

Thumbnail sg.triumph.com
1 Upvotes

I found Triumph has a size guide that says it is in international/UK size. My measurements are:

Loose - 35.5" Snug - 35" Tight - 34.5" Standing - 40" Leaning - 42.5" Lying - 41.5" Suggested - 36E/F UK

Triumph does not carry my suggested size. However, based on their size guide, my measurements are at 40C UK. Should I base on their size guide?

Recommendations? Recommendation for Non-bras (tapes, adhesive covers) in the DD range Spoiler

My back is my best asset, however my titties are in the DD+ range.. so I never get to wear those fun open back dresses. I am a big dancer at weddings, and generally need to feel comfortable in everything I wear, not only picture perfect. I have been targeted by all kinds of adds on instagram about sticky bras and such, but Im always sceptic when it comes to products like that.. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations or personal experience, it would help me greatly :)

Measurement Check Need help finding a brand and size that fits Spoiler

There is going to be a lot of information here, so please bear with me…

I used to wear Elomi. Loved that brand. Until I gained weight and COVID happened. I ended up switching primarily to generic sports bras.

Why did I love Elomi?

Well, I loved them because they didn’t have a ton of material under the band and cups. Why is this important? Well, I have a short torso and I also slouch, those coupled with the fact that I have some fat right under where my bra band would fit would cause the ban itself to roll up if there was too much material and it would really dig in and hurt me. I also wore plunge bras so that way the cups didn’t show when I wore a V neck shirt.

After gaining weight and deciding I wanted my breasts to actually be where they’re supposed to be, I tried buying a new bra in the size (at the time) that the calculator said was correct. I didn’t question the size because it has always been accurate for me previously.

The bra didn’t fit.

Sure the cup fit, but the cup was entirely way too wide. The underwire would tack which is great, but the other end of it would end behind my armpit. It would also hurt really bad after only a couple of hours of wearing which never happened previously. I had always found these bras very comfortable (Elomi plunge style bras).

After this happened I came here to look for help and someone mentioned it might be worth getting a smaller band size with a larger cup size and using extenders because the cup width for the previous size I wore previously (34H) fit wonderfully. So I tried that. I basically got a sister size but in a much smaller band in an attempt to make the cups more narrow.

It didn’t work. The band was still as wide as the newer size I had purchased.

So here I am, again, to start over completely.

I need a new size AND a new brand to wear, and I would love any help y’all are willing to provide.

Here are my measurements:

Bust: Standing: 48” Leaning: 52” Laying down: 50”

Underbust: Tight: 35” Regular: 37”

The calculator says I should start at a 38HH.

I need a narrow cup for my projected, pendulous breasts. I prefer underwire as it feels more secure for me but am willing to try non-wire. There needs to be minimal material beneath the cups on the band so it doesn’t roll up like ill fitting shapewear. I order off Amazon, so I need suggestions for brands and sizes that I can find there.

Thank you for your help!

Measurement Check [40D to 40G] [question] Cup overestimation due to outer fullness? Spoiler

Alright, so I got 40G in the calculator. I currently wear 40D, but they gape at the centre, feel a little tight on the bottom and my breasts are squashed to the sides. I was wondering if a G cup would make the problem worse as I don't have nearly as much volume in the centre. I also have short roots and maybe projection. How much should I reduce my cup if at all? Is this just a shape problem?

My measurements (in cm) if it helps: Loose underbust: 101, Snug underbust: 94, Tight underbust: 91, Standing bust: 119, Leaning bust: 124, Lying bust: 114

Recommendations? Help! In desperate need of bra advice (formerly 70E - looking for lacy, non-padded styles + convertible straps) Spoiler

Hi everyone! I’m new here – please excuse the strange username, I used Apple sign-in and, well… here we are 😅

I’m in desperate need of help finding bras. I currently have only two left, both the same model (a non-padded, lacy high apex style from Princesse Tam-Tam called Eden Classic) that unfortunately they don’t make anymore. They’re both in size 70E and have sadly always fit best on the tightest hook, even from the beginning.

I followed the measuring/sizing guide from this subreddit and came out with:

• 65F/G EU65DD UK

But when I checked the Gaia size calculator (I was considering trying them), it suggested a 70C, which confused me.

I also tried several sizes at Change Lingerie, but none fit — I kept spilling out at the top in everything I tried.

What I’m looking for:

• Non-padded bras (I’m petite and don’t need extra volume 🙈 )

• Lacy / delicate styles

• additionally : Convertible or criss-cross straps for asymmetric tops (but still minimal padding if possible, doesn't need to be pretty)

I’d be incredibly grateful for any brand or specific model suggestions that might work – thank you so much in advance!

Fit Check [Fit Check] 50DDD This doesn't seem to fit at all Spoiler

So I used the calculator and got two bras to try in goddess style. Historically my breasts have failed to fill out the top of the cups and that feels definitely true here, additionally it feels pretty loose on the sides. the bottom fills out well though so I dont know if this is an issue of shape or cup size or both. Some help would be greatly appreciated. https://imgur.com/a/gviSMCx

Recommendations? Need help understanding what the calculator means Spoiler

Hi y’all. I have an extremely large bust and have exhausted all efforts on finding bras in the US that fit. I’ve bought bras from ewa michalak before but unfortunately they no longer fit.

My measurements are: loose underbust: 47” snug underbust: 46.5” tight underbust: 46” standing bust: 62.5 leaning bust: 65.5” lying bust: 63”

When put into the calculator, for UK sizing i’m given “Suggested Starting Size: 46L in UK.” Does this mean I should look for larger sizes, or would a 46L likely fit?

In Ewa Michalak (beta) sizing, it says: “Suggested Starting Size: 105L in Ewa Michalak.” Again, does this mean I should look for a larger size (and for what, bust or band?) or will the 105L fit?

I’m literally crying typing this because I have shoulder issues from wearing ill fitting bras now. I can’t wear a bra for longer than a few hours without pain. To go out in public and look appropriate I have to wear 2 bras that don’t fit in different ways 😭 where do I go from here??

Recommendations? Recommendations for a wirefree bra that has all the characteristics of a wired bra for saggy boobs Spoiler

I don't know if it exists, but if it does, I need it. I have tried multiple wired bras, but since my boobs (18G AU/40G UK) are saggy, they are super uncomfortable on my stomach area. Also since the wire/band is not directly in the crease under the boob and they basically just hang in there, the undersides of my boobs get sweaty and red after a while. I do have a couple just for going out or when I need to look nice, but my everyday bras are wireless as I can not spend more than a few hours in them.

My problems with wireless bras are the following: - there is no shaping and my boobs either look pointy or like a uniboob - there is no gap in between my boobs and it gets sweaty and red because of the chafing (also it looks a lot nicer with a gap) - since there is no shaping I look a lot bigger in T-shirts because my boobs "spread out" to the sides (excuse my wording, English is not my first language)

If anyone has any recommendations of wirefree bras that look like wired bras when wearing clothing, please let me know! Even if someone has recommendations about a bra that is wired, but where it does not feel like something is constantly pinching into your stomach, maybe a bra that has a soft wire.

So to recap, I would like a bra that has the following: - wirefree - creating gap between boobs - band sits right under boobs even if they are saggy - shaping, doesn't make it look like a uniboob or pointy but round - makes boobs stay in place and not spread out to the sides

(So basically the same things a wired bra does, but comfortable and suitable for saggy breasts)

Sincerely,

Someone who hates their boobs and wants them look nice since they can't get rid of them

I'm having trouble finding a bra that fits - Woman with Physical disability

Hi Everyone, sorry in advance for the long post. I am having trouble finding a bra that actually fits me and gives me the correct support. As stated in the title, I have a physical disability and am unable to to do up back opening bras on my own. I am also unable to stand or walk unaided - I either use a walker or wheelchair depending on how I am feeling on any given day. It seems my disability makes it very difficult for bra fitters to fit me with the correct bra. I have been to a specialty bra store which caters to larger cup sizes, from a UK D to K cup. I believe I am around a UK G cup for reference. I live in Australia, so cup sizes vary considerably between brands, which doesn't help my situation. I currently have bras and swimwear that range in cup size from FF-H.

I've tried the A Bra That Fits calculator because none of my current bras really fit me well, apart from the bikini I use for hydrotherapy. The calculator said I am size UK 36F or AU 14F. It doesn't seem like it's correct because every time I have tried on a UK 36/ AU 14 band it feels very loose (I've tried on bras in a UK 36/AU size 14 with cup sizes ranging from F to G). All my current bras are in UK 32 or 34 (Australian size 10 or 12) bands. I am also a very petite, somewhat slim lady as well, so UK 36 doesn't really make sense. I am currently between an Australian size 10 and 12 in shirts.

My measurements are: loose underbust: 92cm, snug underbust: 86cm, tight underbust: 84cm, standing bust: 108cm, leaning bust: 110cm, lying bust: 107cm. I got someone to help take my measurements and all the measurements were done without a bra or top on; however, I don't think these measurements are accurate. The leaning bust measurement was very difficult to measure because of my disability. The lying bust measurements were difficult to take because when I lie down, my breasts flop to the sides of my chest, if that makes sense? The other measurements were also difficult to take because I have trouble standing up straight because of my disability.

If anyone is wondering, the disability I have is called Cerebral Palsy, which I have had since birth. It primarily affects my lower limbs and core (hence why I am unable to walk or stand unaided). I've also had chronic and persistent neck and shoulder pain for over four years now. The pain gets so severe that my shoulders become very stiff and I lose range of motion in my arms because of it; which makes putting on tops difficult sometimes. My medical team don't know what the neck and shoulder pain is from; however, my Occupational Therapist has said wearing bras that don't fit me properly is probably contributing to the pain. My Occupational Therapist said that I should try to find bras that fit me properly.

As well as some advice on which bra size I should try, I am also wanting some advice on whether there are any brands of front closure bras which may be suitable for me. I have tried front closure bras in the past but I have found that they are too shallow in the cup. The other problem is I have trouble doing up hook and eye closures and clasps on front closure bras because I don't have enough dexterity in my fingers. I have tried zip up front closure bras before, and they are easy to put on, but I haven't been able to find any that fit me properly. If there are no brands that do front closure bras in my size, is there any company that does custom bras?

I have a bikini that is in a size UK 32H/ AU 10H that is from the brand Freya, that currently is the only thing that seems to fit me the best.

I have a Panache sports bra that is also in UK 32H/ AU 10H that fits me okay, but I wear it with an extender because the band is slightly too firm for me.

I have some Elomi bras that are in size UK 34GG/ AU 12GG, that feel slightly too loose in the band, but otherwise fit in the cup fairly well - I think they are the Elomi Cate underwire bras. I currently wear them on the tighest row of hooks because they are old and stretched out; however, when I first bought them, I had to wear them on the middle row of hooks because the band felt a bit too loose on the loosest hooks. The most annoying issue with the Elomi bras is that the gore doesn't sit flat.

I recently bought a bra from the brand Prima Donna, that is in a AU 12GG. I've only worn it for 6 weeks, on the loosest hooks and it is already feeling too loose and I may need to start wearing it on the next row of hooks. The gore also doesn't sit flat. The bra fitter at the store that I bought it from told me that it won't sit flat because I sit in a wheelchair (I was in my wheelchair when I got fitted). It still doesn't fit correctly when I'm standing up, so I think the lady at the store just told me that me sitting in my wheelchair was the problem, just to sell me the bra. The bra cost me $124.95 AUD! I have since had a major flareup in my neck and shoulder pain since wearing the bra. The current pain flareup that I am going through has lasted for more than two weeks now.

I have some wirefree bras that are in size AU 12FF, that also don't fit me properly in the band (and also cost me a ridiculous amount of money). They are the brand Anita.

long story short, I have spent well over $500 AUD on bras that don't fit me. Can anyone please help me, so I can stop wasting my money and hopefully get some relief from the horrible neck and shoulder pain that I am suffering from.
