Admitting he was wrong counts for something, though.

What does it matter if they never actually do anything about it? This is like transgression #1000, and yet the death cult will never renounce.

Yeah, giving props for admitting you were wrong was valid in 2017. But like come on lol, being wrong now you’re just dumb.

Something something fool me twice.

I would advise you welcome this kind of admission. MAGA is chock-full of the angry abandoned and ostracized. The solution is probably not to keep ostracizing them.

Something something prodigal son.

The point being they have to actually be the prodigal son, right. The entire parable of the prodigal son doesn't happen if the prodigal son never returns. It's not enough to say "I was wrong." It's not enough to start denouncing Trump. If voting patterns do not change – i.e. actions that have meaningful, direct impact, not just words – then no, it's still not enough. It doesn't matter how much republicans hold their noses when they vote for these far-right lunatics if they keep voting for them.

It also doesn't work if the father doesn't accept the son.

Yep. That Russian account gets seem like the good guy to enough gullible idiots to spread the next round of misinformation. Only if this cycle repeats 6-10 times in one year will people recognize. Otherwise it’s a recurring “honorable” misinformation account.
