I went on a day trip to a wolf sanctuary and it was really amazing! They have multiple pure wolf that were either rescued or donated from people who had them as pets, but they were kept in the back because they don’t like people that much, but most of the wolves that we saw and encountered were wolf-dogs. We actually got to pet one of them that was mostly dog, only 6% wolf. Still amazing animals and even though they have some dog physical characteristics, they still mostly act like wolves!
Then on the way back we saw a heard of bison on someone’s ranch. Such beautiful animals, one of my favorites.

For context in the situation: I am an 18y/o living at home with basically no money, and very not much support from my parents in any way in this situation The dog: 65lb boxer pit mix with aggression issues
I've made a post in the past on r/dogs but it's not up anymore due to someone reporting me (I think they thought that I was being bad to my dogs - which I mean I get it) At that time tho I was not sharing her being aggressive towards me, because she wasn't really - she had bit me a few times but it stopped immediately after the single bite and never escalated
But anyway, I have this dog, she's a good girl except for a couple of major issues. Main one, she attacks my other dogs, and will wirhout hesitation attack me. Not just a bite either, she will ATTACK me with the intent to harm me. She goes for my face or anything she can reach in the given moment.
I know that sounds bad, and like she's awful, but she's reallt not. Whatever causes her to do that is just a problem she has, and that being said I LOVE this dog. She is my entire world - but I don't know if I can really do much at this point
I'm at the point of having to try to rehome her (obviously being honest about her problems - which makes it harder of course) but that poses multiple issues like - I dont want to, and that I may not be able to, since nobody might take her
I'm not in any way willing to put her in a situation where she may be euthanized either.
And like I mentioned, we have 2 other dogs, and since she's the one with insane behavioural issues, she's the one that has to have her life controlled more. So at this current point, she spends about 50/50 of her time either outside or in my bedroom.
I think the main advice I want is: what can I do to give her the most fulfilling life possible given my restrictions?
Training is not an option, past what I myself can do - but that excludes muzzle training, and I'm considering crate training but I'm not really sure if there's any point in it since like I said she spends most of her time in my room, and like I said I'm pretty much broke, and confined to what my mother will actually allow me to do. So I will gladly take any advice anyone can offer

For example one of my cats is afraid of our ceiling fan. He's never had a traumatic experience with them or anything of that sort (I've had him his whole life.) It's thankfully not bad enough that he freaks out or anything. But any time someone holds him while standing under the ceiling fan, he will intensely stare at it (he used to grab you like he was trying to hang on as well, but he's grown out of that.) It seems like he hates it even more when the fan is turned off. So now I'm wondering if animals (cats in particular) can have what we as humans consider phobias? Like a fear that they don't even fully understand the explanation for. Or is it always something along the lines of "That thing looks/sounds weird so I better avoid it"?

Hi, everyone! I’m interested in getting better at discussing this topic with others who care about animals. I believe that as humans, we’re rapidly evolving. History shows that radical positive change for marginalized beings is possible.
I don't really know how to provide background for the question because, to me, it has long felt obvious that animals deserve rights and that our society is way behind morally in how we treat them. It appears clear to me that if every human cared as much as I do, we would use our innovation and soon have a vegan world (with exceptions for survival situations). Unfortunately, the apathy is concerning. I wish animals had political representation and that we had to listen to them. Over 99% of fully sentient beings are nonhuman.
(Obviously, your opinion might differ from mine, and you can comment below.)
Questions:
I'd love to hear your thoughts, whether you think humanity will never stop eating animals or if you agree with a vegan future. Let’s keep the discussion respectful and curious!

As the title suggests, I am creating a curriculum for a middle school zoo club. I have a lot of ideas on what to teach about but was wondering if there was anything that you all would think is important or super cool. the hope is to have a field trip at the end that takes us through the animal care center and kitchen so those will definitely be a big part of it. enrichment, habitat structure and the importance if having zoos for breeding and wildlife conservation are a must as well. I thought it would be cool to have them 'build a zoo' at the very beginning with very little advice on what is needed and then rebuilding at the end after learning everything.
What would be something you would learn about or wish you knew at a younger age regarding zoos and animals?

I found this on the roof of my patio screen in Florida. It has a nail attached to it. Does anyone know what this could be?
