Ohh my… you don’t wanna see mines lmao
Best believe I’m buying it in every color especially if I like the way it fits cause that’s rare for me.

it’s giving Charlie Brown vibes, and no, bc my mother says “if you want to wear it again, just wash it”, but doing laundry everyday is unrealistic and unsustainable. I do have two of the same shorts that I wear almost every day, but only under dresses/skirts outside, so nobody can tell anyway.

A friend of my wife's to me: "I think you only have three shirts, and I've seen all three now."
Me: "Don't be silly, that's not enough shirts. I have six shirts. Three identical pairs, so I understand your confusion."

I don't even have different colours.
I've 5-6 copies of the exact same plain black full sleeve v-neck T-Shirt and 7-8 copies of half sleeve ones.
Almost the same applies to jeans (2-3 variants since most brands stop making the same style after 1-2 years.)

Allistics will say this is NPC behaviour, autistic people will say this is peak cartoon main character behaviour

No you are not the only one. I do something similar. I always buy the same items, in fact I buy several of the same item just in case they are discontinued, which really frustrates me.

My wardrobe has like 4 skirts if the exact same model in different colours, with dress shirts if a similar model in different colours, and my haori collection (same shape, different colours and patterns and ordered by season). I literally wear the exact same thing every day in different colours, basically 😂

I have the same trousers in all the colours they come in. (Idk how to describe them, they’re drawstring things that aren’t jeans but aren’t joggers/sweatpants but are also super super soft and nice material) they come in 6 different colours. I have all of those colours plus 2 extra black pairs. THEYRE JUST SO COMFY AND SENSORY FRIENDLY (sadly they were part of a limited edition collab so you can’t buy them anymore and cost £18 each…I did get some second hand for a great price tho)

If I find an article of clothing I like, whether a t-shirt or pants or whatever, I typically buy several of them so I can wear them every day and not have to stress about complicated clothing dilemmas. I get it.

Also I’ve long since given up understanding why some things are more fashionable than others or really anything about clothing aesthetics. So I generally look for colors or patterns that are on clearance (presumably because nobody else likes them) and buy a bunch of them at a discount.

You’re not alone. I do this too, but worse.
I wear the same outfit every day and own multiple pairs of it.

Pretty much yeah. Striped sweaters and plaid flannels far as the eye can see.

I have one Adidas shirt, in red, yellow and light blue! I got the yellow first, loved how it felt and got the other ones so I can vary a bit. I also have 2 the exact same pants, same size and same color and I love it.

I have an obsession with black and white stripes or checkers, mostly stripes, and extremely baggy clothing.

I work from home and rarely leave the house. I discovered the most comfortable things that I fear will go away so I have accumulated a bunch of long sleeve shirts (Fantastalook - Walmart) and a bunch of "pajama" pants (Zoosixx/X-image - Amazon). When I do go out I feel like I'm a kid playing dress up in someone's closet because I forget most of what I have in there that I accumulated when I had to work in the office.

I would have said no in the past but then I had these cargo pants which I really liked. I was devastated when they wore out on the inner thigh. The gave up the ghost one by one. Tried buying newer versions but they changed them slightly and didn’t fit the same.

u/Emergency-Life-1922 10m ago
I do this too but then they don’t fit the same even though they’re the exact same shirt!! Drives me crazy.
