Poll: Would a smart windshield improve driving experience?

Smart Windshield is an innovative heads-up display (HUD) system that integrates GPS navigation directly onto a vehicle’s windshield. It provides real-time lane guidance, exit indicators, and turn-by-turn navigation without requiring drivers to look away from the road. Designed for daily commuters, ride-share drivers, and fleet operators, the Smart Windshield enhances driving safety by reducing distractions and improving situational awareness. With features like gesture and voice control, adjustable brightness, and integration with smartphone GPS apps, it offers a seamless and intuitive driving experience.

putting more reliance on technology instead of actual driver skill would make for a whole headache with insurance claims especially when you cake the windscreen with information and bright lights, you should be glancing at mirrors and your gps should be positioned near to your windscreen anyway, you shouldnt be looking at it.

"Oh my smart windscreen told me to change lanes!" as they blindly change lane and dont use their side mirrors to see the vehicle in their blind spot.

Already the tesla and its camera mirrors are making for some of the worst drivers out there, if you thought lazy bmw/merc/audi drivers not using indicators was bad, yeah teslas are a whole new level of sheer lazyness, and in america where these cars use the autonomous driving feature people are not behind the wheel or are sleeping.

It might sound cool to have all your gps on the screen but what about in bad visibility when the lights will make seeing things harder, what about lazy people who will just assume that as the "computer" told them to that it's ok to change lane when it reality it could very much cause an accident?

I voted no, as its more technology to make people lazy and it's extra things to go wrong, "oh sorry mate your smart windscreen will be £5000 to replace because of this 14mm chip in it", or if it malfunctions and go skits and you end up with a god damn rave that will be an MOT failure.

I use to like the idea of having gps on the screen as part of a hud purely for when Im coming to a multi lane roundabout, but after being on the road for as long as i have i can see so many more negatives to it primarily creating more e wasted, expense, and enabling lazy drivers to be even worse.
