My Setup

I have spent some time making a weiqi corner for my family, I have a 9x9 set, a reversible board 13x13 and 19x19, and a "kaya" table.

For the stones, aside from the ordinary glass ones, I have the traditional slate&shell set, and a "fun" set made of lapis lazuli and cat's eye.

The table and the slate&shell stones are second hand, and I spent quite a bit of time renovating them, I can detail the processes if someone is interested.

This looks good, but personally I would prefer to combine lapis lazuli with tiger eye rather than cat's eye stones —were they available and did you consider them? I just find blue and gold such a good combination; there is a moment towards the end of 2001, A Space Odyssey with those colours.

So, where's the picture of the fun set? Show it to us.

A set of stones I meant, it's the 2 last pictures. These are lapis lazuli and cat's eye stones from go-spiele.de

Excellent. Non-traditonal bowls and stones are the best.

Very nice. I have a nice board I like but I don’t have anyone to play with me in real life. 🥺

Looks cool, but is sitting on the floor for extended periods comfortable?

With the pillows it's fine honestly, but I have never played for hours.

Surprisingly so if you have a soft surface like carpet or tatami. I once played a 6 hour game in one sitting with my brother on the floor

And it's honestly not that expensive when it's second-hand. New it's like 10k EUR, but you can find some for a few hundreds in a relatively good shape.

Mine is from baduk.club shop, but there is also buyee.jp, beware of shipping costs and taxes though.

You can always make a crowdfunding to finish the setup with some chairs :) just kidding, so cool.
