Has anyone killed Amelyssan solo with a stealth/backstab specialist?
I haven't played BG in over a year. I always play solo. Haven't done so with a stealth/backstab build yet. Wondering how feasible taking Amelyssan down will be.

I’m working on this right now. If you can beat her first fight, you’re golden because you can cheese the other three fights with traps.
Fight one is hard. Stealth and backstab are useless. You’ve basically got to take UAI and fight as a nerfed mage

A big reason I don't play thieves is how many things are immune to backstab.
Save for the Swashbuckler from The Artisans Kit Pack, as it is pretty awesome.

No. Best I did was beating Amelyssan with SCSII and Tactics which included strengthened versions of the 5 and Demogorgon and her summoning all of the previously defeated 5 and Demogorgon.

Yes. The only time I’ve done a full series Flying Solo run was as a thief/mage. Improved Haste + Black Blade of Disaster + Timestop + Assassination = hilarity.
Amelyssan was really difficult because her backstab immunity makes your bread & butter strategy largely ineffective. I used lots of project image, lots of mislead, scrolls of wish/limited wish, you name it. Spike traps helped a lot between phases, but it was the hardest fight in the series by quite a large margin.
Good luck!

I have, but she's immune to backstab.
Though given that 'stealth/backstab specialists' generally have access to UAI, Thief HLAs, and traps, that's rarely a problem if you plan ahead.
