Imagine bg world and npcs but in futuristic space

How would it look like? What would Jan do? What would cernd do? What would Xzar do? Would Tiax be the universe emperor wh40k style? Would Aerie enjoy levitation?

I mean, Baldur's Gate in space is pretty much just Mass Effect, right?

It was either the next thing the developer did, or the thing after that, and it took a lot of notes from their success with Baldur's Gate. Though it starts becoming its own thing the longer the franchise continues.

Do you happen to remember the window of time before ME was revealed but after BioWare had announced they were working on their next big RPG? They had told people it wasn't going to be another Star Wars entry after KOTOR's success.

I remember that everyone in my gaming circle was convinced it was going to be the next BG game and we were all excited by ME when it got announced but also a little bummed it wasn't a BG entry.

Interesting thought. Boo would remain the same

  • Jan definitely flies a ramshackle, homemade spacecraft from place to place, selling obscure gadgets and root vegetables.

  • Aerie was separated from her parents as a child and was raised by an alien species. She is searching for her home planet

  • Anomen and Keldorn would be space marines of some sort.

  • Korgan is a space pirate who may or may not have slaughtered his former crew.

Jan would be peddling unlicensed turnips on a space station while being pursued by a shapeshifter head of security.
