BG2 - Party Member "transformed" and can't remove effect
Hey everyone, looking for a little help here. (In case it matters, I am playing the EE)
I recently completed the battle with the black dragon Nizidramanii''yt. Afterward, I noticed Jaheera was transformed into this floating... thing... I don't even know what it is. A butterfly, maybe? She still allows me to interact with her, and I can cast spells, but she won't move while in this form. I've tried nearly every single removal effect I can think of - dispel magic, remove magic, even seemingly non-related removals like chaotic commands. I've tried killing her and reviving her, and upon revival she is still in this form. The only "solution" I've found is to shapeshift into an animal form, which will allow me to move her. But as soon as I leave shapeshift form she just goes back into whatever transformation this is. I don't even know how she got transformed like this. I looked up Nizidramanii''yt's spells and abilities, and I didn't find anything in his repertoire that would have caused this. The only other thing I could think of is that I did do a Greater Elemental Summon before that fight, and I'm wondering if the elemental lord I summoned put some kind of "curse" on me? (yes, I tried remove curse, to no avail). When I check her status effects in the character menu, there aren't any detrimental effects listed -- just general protections from fire, electricity, etc. Lastly, I've tried resting a multitude of times, and she never comes out of this form.
I can't figure out what the heck is going on here. I wouldn't be surprised if the solution is obvious and I'm just a dumb ass, but any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is sort of blocking my progress, as I don't want to proceed without her.

Her avatar has been changed due to a glitch (called chunking).
Open up your Baldur.ini file Under program options add the line exactly as written below.
'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',
Go to file options and select read only
Then in game, hit CTRL + Spacebar to open the debug console.
Then in game, hit CTRL + Spacebar to open the debug console
Type >C:EnableCheatKeys(1)
Use no spaces in console command script, they will not work
From here, you'll debug. Hover your cursor over the character, then press CTRL + R simultaneously. This usually resets the character and removes all effects, curses, spells, damage, etc.
If that doesn't work, try using CTRL + 6. It that doesn't work I, use 7, or S to scroll through avatar animations until you get to the one you want.
Alternatively, download and install EEKeeper and change her avatar that, much easier

Is that the sprite for a pile of ash? Maybe she bugged out during permadeath.

It may very well be! I honestly can't tell what the sprite is supposed to be. The animation sort of floats around quickly, like perhaps a moth or butterfly, or a floating book of some sort. But it could be a pile of trash, too... LOL. It is feeling like a bug though, since seemingly nothing is bringing her out of this form, except temporarily with shapeshift.

Try to kill her and then resurrect?

Yeah, I tried that, but it didn't work :( When I revive her, she's still in this form.

Have you tried using any of the editors?
Check with near infinity or eekeeper.
I know those can edit character sprites.

I've never used those before, but I will definitely look into that. Thank you for the recommendation!

Its a bug called meatballing where a character is stuck in a state of being chunked but wasnt registered as eliminated from existence/party. You might as well consider that party permanently killed
