Events, Activities & Sports are there supposed to be wild peacocks in berkeley/oakland?
I was biking up tunnel road this morning and there was a peacock walking around, nobody with it, no visible tags or anything… zoo escapee maybe?
no clue how to flair this…

don't be alarmed when you come across a wild turkey or two also

i see tons of turkeys, there’s a group/family of 5-10 of them that walk around albany… but a peacock, i’ve never seen one in the wild until now

wait until you start hearing the peacocks, not just seeing them. they can be quite vocal

Saw a wild peacock running about with a wild turkey last week on Grizzly Peak. First time, had to stop and make sure what I was seeing

I don't know about Berkeley but down in Santa Maria there are. Was a weird sight to see them ambling by my hotel but I was told it was normal.

There are wild peacocks here. There used to be a family of them near University ave and Shattuck back in the 80s.
There’s another family near Trader Joe’s in rockridge currently
