Does anybody know anything about treaty beer?
Context!!!: we were rummaging through a next-door house that my grandparents had purchased recently and coming to the basement. We found a beer that was called treaty beer. I tried doing a little bit of information about it but I’ve only gotten surface level stuff. I’ve got the original receipt from 1987 taped to the side of it and was wondering if anybody could have additional information to it (possible value, and things of that nature) if anybody has any information, I would be very appreciative. (I’m not sure if it’s important at all but the contents inside have not been emptied since 1987 so I’m wondering if that adds or deplete the value of the two 6-packs that I have)

there are examples of beer that get better with age, but most of the ones that do aren't going to be packaged in 6 packs. you've probably got something that hit its best before date in 1988.
i looked through the article the provided by u/chiefcoldbeer1006 and while it reads like it was probably a light lager, there isn't anything i can see in there that specifies the style. a light lager isn't going to gain anything from aging

I’ve never heard of treaty beer but there’s not going to be any value in a 40 year old six pack

Interesting story on the beer. https://www.goodbeerhunting.com/blog/2022/4/13/racism-in-a-can-how-one-beer-epitomized-the-native-american-struggle-for-treaty-rights
