Mourning Had to say goodbye to Luckycat yesterday, 1 day after her 19th birthday
She was my first pet.

Of soft black fur and quiet grace, Luckycat found her perfect place. For nineteen years, through joy and tears, She stayed beside you, calm and near.
A gentle purr, a knowing gaze, She lit your world in countless ways. Though she has crossed to peaceful rest, Her memory stays, forever blessed.
Love and strength to you, and rainbow hugs for Luckycat. What a sweet girl 💕🐈⬛

My heart breaks for you. My guy is named Lucky & he’s 13-14 years old w/body system issues too. I’m sorry that your noir has crossed the rainbow bridge

I don’t know what your belief system may be, but I do know that our universe is vast, chaotic, and mostly empty. Life as we know exists on our small planet, we come from many places, our animal friends have journeyed alongside us, our lifespans incredibly different but our love the same.You found each other in a chaotic and lonely place, bringing meaning to each other’s lives that no one else can understand. I am so sorry for your loss, but you would not be the same without them. I pray you heal, I am so sorry for their absence in your life.

What a perfect, beautiful bean you got to love, and who gave you infinite love in return. You were meant for each other and so lucky to have each other. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Edit: I'm crying, I just adopted a pregnant stray void, and now have 7 kittens including their mamabear, and I've lost babycats I've loved over the years, but as a proudly childless cat lady, I'll forever cherish my kittens, much like you cherished yours:)

19 years - what a lucky cat with a lucky life! It is crazy to think how long these guys are with us - all the changes they are around for, all the joy, annoyance, and comfort we experience from them over all these years... 19 years is a very significant chunk of our lives!
I loathe the day my cat's time comes, but if she can enjoy 19 years of life, I will consider us both very lucky, and feel proud that I offered her such a good life!

she never did it again after the first year because we switched to real trees.

My kitty left use three weeks ago. She was only 10. She will say hello to him. I still miss her daily

Not to take away from the beautiful piece of writing above, it's just I actually have this tattooed on my rib cage. It helps me with all of my babies who are no longer with me. Sending you lots of good vibes 🤗🥰

I’m so sorry for your loss 💜 Luckycat looks like she was such a sweet lil baby girl, and it’s clear from the photos you shared that she loved you and that you gave her a wonderful, fun life.
Grieve however long and in whatever manner you need. She mattered, matters, and will continue to matter - and so do you 💕
